RCT3: Wild Update 3 download

Hi,

we are pleased to announce that update 3 for RCT3 Wild is now available for download. This update addresses the slowdown issues when constructing or placing rides or scenery that occurred with Wild update 1 installed. Note that this update optimizes the copy protection system, but does not replace it, you will still need to use either the original RCT3 or Wild disk to run the game.

Do not install this update if you do not have RCT3 Wild installed on your computer!

Installation Instructions

To install Wild update 3, follow the steps below:

1. Download the zip file and extract to your desktop or other convenient location, do not extract directly into the RCT3 installation folder
2. Open the RCT3 installation folder, this is usually C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3 or something similar
3. Rename the file RCT3plus.exe to RCT3plus.exe.old. If you encounter any problems running update 3 you can delete the new file and rename this original file back to bring Wild back to its previous state
4. Copy the new RCT3plus.exe file you have just extracted into the RCT3 installation folder
5. Run the game

Note that this update is provided as is, if you encounter any problems when running the new executable you should revert to the previous instructions using the directions shown above.
