A device you create that once in your inventory, is automatically activated when you pulse travel.
You get an anomaly detection alert, it's a free organic frigate.
If you do this be sure to have less than 30 frigates in your squad.
It's a one use item that can be destroyed afterwards. Apparently organic frigates become an additional anomaly item after the first one joins your fleet.

More bug fixes should have triggered more updates. Stopping you playing while it patches.
