    PVP want the missiles nerfed so they don't have to use slots for point defense and ecm. They want this slots for shield and hull tanking. The missiles were nerfed before and they were useless, may as well take them out of the game. They finally buffed them a little and here comes the tears. Out run missiles or stay behind the target (can't get a target lock). Their only do damage if they hit you. GiT GUD.

    One thing I've always wondered about space legs. Say you're out walking on a planet, and CMDR Unwashed the Gank King comes along and blows up your ship, does that mean you're stranded there? What if you're merrily wandering amongst the canyons in the light of the nearby red dwarf, and CMDR EverDrunk-SpeedDemon comes along and runs you over in his SRV? There'll be no rebuy screen for becoming planet pizza, so what happens then? Just curious.

    I am controlling a person that controls the ship. I look down and I can see the legs, the hands and body. So In ED I am playing a pilot that has all the things available to walk and move around but has been superglued to the chair. It has been like this from the beginning. The game is already play in First Person Perspective. aWe just can't he the avatars to get up out of the seats. I am looking forward to when my character is not superglued. As stated ED is a galaxy sim not a space ship sim. Last time I checked we walked around in this galaxy as well as other activities.

    Ok. Well as I thought, Fdev play with a different account than used in any public arena. That's good. We have company players in the game, flying their way, we just don't know who they are. (My supposition from the comm mgr reply) What I like about this is the involvement, whether they play a style like "ours" or not doesn't matter, they are in the game, I rather like that. What I don't get is why anyone should think it would affect the game development. We know FDev progress the game at the pace of a snail, with asthma. The community guys can only play, they don't design. Do we really think FDev listen to the comm guys any more than the players? Of course not, the map is drawn, the destination is set, we just follow. Think about the lottery ticket article, fake news? Or genuine waiting to find? Either way FDev have displayed the ability to play it both ways in the past, why should that change now? The sandbox remains open, the input matches it. Take it or leave it.

    There will be, in addition to your probable profit of over 5.5 million so far you will get a reward of just under 7 million maybe 9 million if it rises another tier or you manage another 1300 tonnes or so. So yes there are rewards, just not ones beyond the dreams of avarice.

    The CPU isn't very important for processing images and graphics (for gaming at least). The GPU is generally the bottleneck. To be sure, you could see how busy your CPU is when using VR. If it's rather relaxed, it is not the bottleneck and you can get more juice from it.

    Yes I’ve had similar scenarios before, in the past though I’ve been able to either destroy the attackers (even if badly damaged myself) or do enough damage to hold them at bay while I run and recharge shields even without a fighter deployed. I have also been destroyed in these situations but never without doing significant damage to my adversaries. I have not encountered NPC human enemies whose shields didn’t even start to drop off under a heavy barrage before. The python wasn’t even using chaff so I know that my gimballed weapons were hitting home. I had also not even opened my cargo scoop or deployed any limpets so what is the rationale behind their attack?

    Interesting, and thank you. I hadn't considered that aspect. If that is true, then the offer of a wing transport mission sounds like a bug. The details of the mission I tried to attach as a screenshot are: Convey 3535 units of Survival Equipment from Jameson Memorial to Mercchison Arsenal. On offer is 5,020,917Cr/rep+/inf+ or rep+++++/2,218917Cr/inf+ or MEF 5 units/ 2,510,917Cr/rep+/inf+ 23 hours and 22 at the time of writing It's tempting, but the deadline makes it harder to do solo at this late hour, so I'll pass up on it right now, but surely that would have an affect on BGS? Do passenger missions have a BGS influence too?

    We can be more direct here: David Braben said iliterally, explicitly and repeatedly (2017 for example) that they are working on spacelegs, and that spacelegs will come. Not maybe, not depending on gameplay development and design, but definitely and without any kind of doubt. So either he is full of it or it will come, there really is no middle ground here.

    I'd agree that as the forge is pretty good at what it does it is more than likely just how things are in reality. The HMC worlds are more massive and tend to end up being the parent body or just accreting all the material that would have otherwise made a moon.

    I feel there are two different issues here. One is that stuff is needed for certain activities (engineers for example) that is only obtainable in a limited number of ways, none of them particularly engaging. The other is the pace with which one obtains stuff. When people say they are upset because they cant get a fully engineered corvette within a week of playing, one could argue that they are wanting a pace that is simply a preference not shared by others. That is subjective. I personally prefer a slow progression that rewards you after every session a bit, for a long time, rather than get everything rapidly and having nowhere to go afterwards. The other point is the gameplay behind unlocking stuff. While that is also subjective, most would say that dragging rare goods back and forth 5t at a time for some engineer, or scooping cargo from super rare USS, or grinding the same thargoing ruin over and over is neither challenging, exciting or fun. So apart from the discussion about the pace of progression...

    Well, I take your words literally since the OP doesn't seem to be a joke or something sarcastic. this register was created moons ago, some people who register wont even attend, and those who do will change their ships by q4 dont be so naive to use this as "evidence" the DBx was great when that list was made you know that, im on the list with "Dolphin" as things stand today it will be a Krait so there (will prob change again before q4) The registration is still open so it is updated. In whichever case, we can revise the statistics for expeditions prior to the buff of the DBX, you know, when it had even less module slots and jump range. Oh, and I don't think you can come up with a better statistic but I'm all ears. oh... you're allowed to generalise but i'm not, (see point #1) & it's not "space", 1+1 = 2 class 2 is a class 2, two class ones are well... a class 2 c'mon you can do maths.

    ... or so I thought Getting back into the game slowly, lots of new things since 3.0 dropped. Been doing a little bit of Engineering and decided that my Courier is now a fast little beast and perfect for those missions where there isn't a lot of cargo but speed could be a premium. Anyhoo, I saw a nice easy mission that rewarded with a decent amount of mats I knew I needed, checked on the Map, yep two easy jumps, no problems. So off I went, happy in the knowledge that this will be a quick, easy and in my eyes, profitable mission with little change of trouble. How wrong I was ... Got to the destination system, honked once with the ADS cus I saw a sign saying to do so (lol), nothing, no message popped up. Hmm methinks, maybe things have changed, so I dropped into the Nav Beacon and scanned that - again nothing. Oh goody, I think, FD have made this missions a little more difficult, I like a challenge, lets use this old grey matter and find the USS. The system wasn't big, only 5 bodies, so I...

    Ok, I think I might know, why it did not work for you. Start the Oculus App. Then go to your windows display settings as shown in video 1 In my case display 1 is the Oculus. You have to see what number your VR display has. As you can see I select clone the display. Although he does not save the option, he will do it.

    I vaguely recall an early video with David Braben stating that he isn't against 'space legs' as such (he certainly used another term) but doesn't want them without meaningful gameplay (with probably slightly different wording). I construed this as a promise.

    So I was just flying around doing a message when I got a tip off message about a crash site with cargo at Balte 1 A and I thought "cool I'm gonna get something to sell" well when I arrived there I found the crashed ship and a Tharhoid Sensor, idk how they got there, but maybe you guys have theories as to what happened?
