I'm starting a new side. A new faction. It's called: Pv:p Players vs :p I'm fed up with association guilt. I am Ziggy. I am no one's spokesperson, no one speaks for me. If I'm being a pillock, Ziggy is being a pillock, not PvEers. When I see unspecified individuals who happen to be PvPers as well being pillocks, unspecified individuals are being being pillocks. This guilt by association is for the birds. It's all a load of :p. And I am against :p I Pv:p

Not necessarily. At least no physics we know of today. If we can have FSD supercharging why not SC supercharging? I don't mind lore handwavium if it results in more engaging gameplay.

I heard somewhere there is a fighting stats associated with prestige - not sure if a non-lethal fighting result counts though..

I believe you need to rep up with a faction and then take their combat related offerings for big payouts. Claim a home system, and rep up there... once you are Friendly or Allied, you should start seeing big payouts for hunting pirate lords, skimmers, or other related activity.

Starting to get the notion some content creators are getting to a similar point I reached over a year ago - Three/fours years in, and stil thin disjoined gameplay, yet development time galore to bolt on more dead end questionably thin mechanics. As ive' said a number of times, Q4 is going to be telling. ie: Can FD with a clean slate and a clear declaration of improving core gameplay (for mining and exploration), actually, well, raise the bar on the depth of the games mechanics (at last)?

^this. If you're just cruising Hazres or CZs and whining about credits per hour you'll be whining a lot. Get allied with factions and take assassination, pirate lord or skimmer kill missions. They pay decent per hour in some systems once you're allied. Some boards in systems I've been in have 90% these missions vs. only a hand full of delivery missions.

Keep grinding, you'll get there. I found a rescue ship paying 10k for basic meds and worked my T7 hard for a weekend to afford the T9. Outfitting it took a lot longer.

From myself - no probs, figured that was probably the case! :) Anyway, Engineering is a very subjective thing and a matter of much debate, so how to use them effectively is quite a difficult thing to answer. It depends in many ways what you want to do. At one extreme, for some people Engineering is pretty much a thing in itself and the objective becomes to ultra-engineer their entire fleet. At the other extreme, for some it's just something to be largely ignored and/or done only when you naturally acquire the unlock requirements and materials needed. My personal advice would be to steer more towards of the latter of those two, as the people at that end generally seem to enjoy things more. It's very dependent on you and what you want to do though. And if you want to do top end PvP, you're not really going to have much choice other than to do lots and lots of engineering. One thing before getting into more detail - keep an eye on what they ask you to do as unlock requirements. Some of it can lead...

Thanks for the videos Dutchman141. I've checked this out and can hear in the first video that there is audio. This seems to be working as expected.

Then we need an alternative drive, as supercruising is conducted by a kind of alcubere drive. The physics do not allow slingshot with an alcubere drive.

I don't understand the mechanic of making it work on a fixed LY distance increase when everything else in the game about FSDs is about mass management. I mean, it adds the same jump distance to a 7A FSD as it does to a 2E, and it'll do that whether you ship weighs 50T or 1500T.

With systems in a boom or expanding states you should have missions for luxury items and even illegal items like onionhead and other drugs. Lavian brandy should go for 100k a ton and the missions should be small, 5 to 10 tons. Multi source missions should be a thing. These could even be a wing style mission where your getting 20 tons of gold, 5 tons of Lavian brandy, 10 tons of clothing, natural fabrics or leather... The missions could be titled "Laissez les bons temps rouler, let the good times roll by bringing us these luxury items". These could be a blast to do and have a relatively short duration. It would be fun to do these in a AspX or DBX. I'd also like to see Multi source missions for mining. A source mission that says bring me 10 tons of silver, 5 of gold and 4 palladium... Or even painite.

They haven't EARNED $ 187,000,000 USD, they are BURNING it. And need m o a r to keep the beast alive as it is still burning every day a whole lot of hard earned cash from their hopeful supporters. FD is a humble game company surviving since decades and quite profitable in the recent days. That's a rare success in any business - DB can be proud. Ask CR iin 20 years what's left from his "company".

As a comparison - I'd agree. But "Chrome" is far, far from the reflective chroming effect it could be. No doubt that is FDev milking us slowly until they sell the "Mirrored Chrome" finish in 2019... I suppose, to be fair, the mirrored effect might actually look very poor in space, with mainly direct light, it will appear very black with occasional really bright spots. You need the diffuse lighting effect an atomospheric planet produces to get the best out of a truly mirrored effect...
