It's never worth fighting any ships that interdict you unless you want to practice your combat skills. If you're high rank and get interdicted by an Anaconda or FDL, they nearly always have SCBs and chaff, which makes a very long battle. The best way to end it quickly is by ramming them when you already have their shields down a bit. If you win, you get virtually nothing for it, so it's a complete waste of time. If you're doing missions, always submit and run, which will allow you to use your time more profitably.

Im 2600 hours in. Still dont have any of big ships. I think i tried everything, but powerplay. Right now im on what was supposed to be a trip to Colonia, have not landed in more than a year, and it soon will be two years since i left bubble and have not earned a single penny in a year, but yesterday i took this screenshot, while in MC with another Cmdr. Love the game, it has its flaws, and im still waiting for those atmospheric planets, but im still having a blast.

Ahh right. I was referring to the discussion taking place here: Automation and Scripting - An investigation into further abuses of BGS and Powerplay In that thread they mentioned that illegal bots can be spotted in Open, but that what they've found is that the bots are board flipping and then completing their automated runs in Solo so that they can't be stopped or detected. What I meant was that if missions could only be done in the mode you select them in, then those bots would be less effective (by only having access to fewer missions) or more easily discovered (by having to complete some missions in Open) and banned.

Bloody 'ell GluttonyFang... well done. Thanks for scrolling your loadout etc and great demonstration of in-battle synthesis.

Don't be ridiculous. It disappears because it falls of the edge.

As long as it's not something like access to new engineers... This game needs more things to do, not new ways to fiddle stats.

Bump-mapping is known to not work (effectively) in VR. But until a significant faction of users use VR (say 10%) it's not really worth FDev spending huge technical effort that won't be appreciated by the majority.

I don't like CZ's: pitch black background, little rectangles that pop in and out, depending on your orientation... In EVE, they were at least permanent. I'd never choose to do this, but without it, I can't unlock The Sarge... Annoying... Its like your parents saying "you can't have any pudding if you don't eat your meat", but you hate meat and want to be a vegetarian... (I don't dislike combat per se - in Ice belts, its quite nice, cause you have decent lighting. Its just more pleasant. You can see the details of the ships when you fly close and so forth...)

What SC tech? Crytek? Lumberyard? SC wish they had a proprietary engine like ... COBRA FD have long experience with airy worlds, its called planet coaster. Don't think FD are the copying kind. E: D is kinda unique. Ever seen kinectimals? Imagine animated aliens

Sorry to disagree but I was mostly not in a wing last night, only for the very last instance - part of the reason for that was I couldn't use the comms panel.

I very much enjoyed this CG, as I've never engaged a Thargoid in combat before (and scouts are about all I can handle). That said, the gameplay does get repetitious after awhile, more so than a typical BH CG IMO. I left the system before finishing the other related CG because I eventually got bored with the same Groundhog Day battles over and over... But it was fun while it was still fresh and new to me!

I was out for 4 months and took 2% hull damage. It's riskless.

You're not entirely correct, here. Thrusters actually do have separate variables for speed, acceleration, and rotation. All normal thrusters use the same value for all three stats, but performance enhanced thrusters don't. Their speed variable is much higher than the acceleration or rotation ones. This dev post explains it (though you may find all the dev posts in that thread interesting: What we're lacking is any other thrusters with asymetric variables, or engineering that affects said variables non-uniformly.
