Yes your math is correct good sir. :) No calculus or square roots of a negative number required.

I have to agree with this idea, there have been many times I wished I could quickly glance back and see what is behind me.

All systems are unknown to you until you visit them (except for many systems in the bubble of course, these are so well known they are listed in all nav computers) even if they have another CMDRS tag as first finder after you scan them. Simply setting the route plotter to "unvisited" and applying to route will take you through systems unknown to you. If however you are asking for systems never visited by anyone then that's another thing entirely, even if you scan and the systems aren't already tagged that doesn't mean they haven't been visited, the CMDR who tagged them may be on route at that very moment to turn the data in. So unknown to you is easy, unknown to anyone? I don't think that would be appropriate. As an aside FDEV once said there were still a few, very few bodies in the bubble that have never been visited and tagged, that wouldn't be the case if you could just hide everything that anyone has already visited, so that wouldn't be very good idea. I think the current system is fine, plot route by...

So I trying to level up my combat to Elite and am out hunting the bugs in the Pleiades. I'm finding that with my ship, scout killing is fun and the best way I can level up my combat. Are people finding that some systems have more Threat Level 4 (or even 3) Non-Human USS's than others? Or are all the systems that have Thargoids, just random with the threat levels? Oh and not doing Threat level 5 as I am finding scouts to be very rare to find in those for me, and instead I just get bigger Thargoids to scan and that's it...

Seems the new Lara Croft game ran at under 60fps with RTX/ON at 1080p on a RTX 2080Ti. Better of waiting for the technology to mature a bit.

I have to agree! WoW was great when you had to travel everywhere on foot or ground mount. Now the only way to get a sense of scale is to fly. This is largely due to the ground being made into an amusement park, really, that like some sort of IKEA store throws all kinds of obstacles in your way to keep you from moving easily across the terrain. While understandable for a lowest-common-denominator MORPG like WoW, one can only hope ED will keep its sense of scale by not making travelling any easier. I am not against an autopilot, but it needs to be a non-gamey version. :D S

Is it that crazy to think that a mostly hollow, empty machine with larger processing chambers might be able to take in more hydrogen at one time and convert it into ship fuel at a faster rate? You know, like how a class 7 scoop works faster and in larger volumes than a class 4? Kind of like how a size 6 cargo rack takes up a huge volume despite being massless?

Youre forgetting the cost of the machine to run VR. Most people do not have VR ready machines. And an extra $400+ isn't exactly "affordable" anyway.

I tried another similar mission same system recently. Problem is still there. Any update on when this will be resolved. I am ok if the answer is q4 update or the like, just want some ETA rather than no information at all.

^^ This pretty much. I actually doubt these guys dont realize that PP will die. They just dont care that PP will die and hope that in the few Months where people will still try it they can have Fun Ganking and Griefing Noobs and other helpless Targets. And leave my Capital Letters alone. There was a Time in History were writing like this was considered proper etiquette :P

So when do we need to change the tires on the SRV or at least rotate them?

One thing that raytracing provides is relatively low-cost shadows. (There's no need to calculate shadow maps, which are very expensive to create (in terms of calculation time)). That means that if FD adds support in their Cobra engine, we could have shadows from multiple suns (instead of just the nearest sun). That would add realism and drama to ED (assuming you had a new GPU from NVidia). This is something I would like to see, but I think it's unlikely in the near term.

I hope this does not change. To me it is the same scenario as I found in World of Warcraft. They had a huge world that once upon a time you used to have to travel 'the long way' to move around the maps. It was an adventure, it encouraged exploration, required to you navigate yourself and also added more weight to your decisions. Players complained, and over time things were made more and more simplified. Portals were added all over the place to streamline travel, then flying mounts, then group finder/insta travel dungeons. It cheapened the entire experience & marked the decline in the game in my view. ED does not need to be casualised or made any easier.
