Acts of Destruction and Murder need to have the some level of meaningful consequence for the act to mean something in my opinion, and other games don't really have consequences. Killing people for the sake of just killing people is crazy talk. I.E. GTA: Cops spawn, cops kill you, all is forgiven... that's just boring. But with Elite: You have to worry about Bounty hunters, System security, System security level, System state changes, being locked out of stations, Police scans, other players, rebuy costs, losing your Crew mate (if you have one) Notoriety level, bounty payoff pricing, Minor Faction Reputaion, etc. If you were to become some sort of psychopath in any game, and you want it to have reactive consequences, I'd point you to this game.

When you move your head quickly in VR the purple/blacks don't move quite as quickly making them blur and...sort of smear.

i bet it induces chemical changes in the brain? i never have had an hypnosis experience, but i know for sure that you can alter your brain without any external chemicals, just modulating your mood or state of mind. quite easily, actually, and we do it all the time. hypnosis could be just a notorious case of that.

Hope that cleared it up. You sounded so exasparated I was worried there for a moment. So yeah. Horizons is a dlc. Beyond is a series of updates called a free season. After the final release it's over until the next dlc comes around. There. There.

Do you really think FDev want you to wait 10 minutes for the mission board to refresh? Do you actually think this was their aim when they came up with the new mission boards?

OP is right. There should only be one car. Cars are the same right. Four wheels on the outside at the corners and one on the inside to steer? All those different cars are pointless. We only need one car. Thanks OP.

The Hive are a lovely bunch of people. It was a lot of fun to be invited along and see the great work they get up to. While I enjoy repairing stations, it's also nice to see some of the dedicated effort that goes into stopping those thargys from creating more trouble (and more work for the community that I represent). That said, the basilisk I met tonight was a great dancing partner. Strictly speaking, I'd give them 10 out of 10 Len's.

Certainly, there's going to be people with a very high resistance to hypnosis. "Faster bone healing": https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10069091 (do not see how this works) General surgery without anaesthesia: https://qz.com/1298753/a-french-hospital-used-hypnosis-to-block-pain-in-150-cancer-surgeries/ (much easier to believe)

At the risk of going slightly off topic, my real hope for the Single Server mission board is that they'll enforce some rules of Scarcity on missions. In other words, Missions are there until someone takes them, and then they're gone. Missions that are taken more frequently? Go down in payment. Missions that are taken less frequently? Go up in payment. That's a simplification of what I'm suggesting, but I think that a game, whose very foundation is based on Scarcity should also reflect it in the payment. Enough of these 2 million credit to deliver biowaste missions. Let the market pay what players are willing to take from it. I doubt it will happen too, but... it's what should be. ;) 4 cents now... ;)

that could be. do you think it does work? genuinely asking. i guess it's a matter of perspective, and players looking for that fight may even have fun. same as polite roleplaying pirates when they casually meet a polite roleplaying victim. and what would sun zu say about hordes of warriors conquering territory unmolested in a parallel universe? whole new chapter in the 'book' for sure! :D

Хоть и верю многому, но лично поэксперементировал в ФА-офф, уходя от таргов на не очень то шустром DBX (5 грейд clean в угоду температуре). В середине диапазона поворачиваемость ого-го по сравнению с крайними положениями.

that's fair enough, but I don't see the issue here. TJ has an avatar of "Don't blame TJ" it's a forum joke, as is the Bazmezon joke as he had a rage quit post with his name as the headline! it is in jest. You had no problem saying to me that "Yeah that one. Like it's the best comeback the poster could think of because they lack the wit to actually describe their opinions like a grown up (see what I did there? )." Which could be classed as insulting .. But that's ok, 'cos you're on the higher ground. It's hypocritical.
