    ■ I miss the feature of an board computer which gives me the informations i need to trade, engineer and something ingame, instead of jumping on any websites and collect informations that are mostly not representing the reallity in the moment of the game i play the game. ■ I miss the feature of more buggys, panther clipper like in elite 2, ■ I miss the feature of walking around in the ship and stations ■ I miss the feature of landing on superlarge pads with panther clipper on planets with athmosphere but sure, every little dot is welcome.

After a recent sale to the ever credit-abundant Universal Cartographics, I did wonder how they were doing their addition for their Total value, or whether I was missing something... What am I not understanding?

Adding a small incentive to encourage people to stay in Open once they've started there, engaging in the (pseudo)MMO aspects of this (pseudo)MMO game is a good idea in principle. Unfortunately as you're finding in this thread, it's been suggested many, many times before - and even floated as an idea by Fdev (open-only powerplay) - and is generally met with the same kind of hostility, with people yelling about never being FORCED to play in OPEN! BLASPHEMER! (Despite, yes, 'forcing' not being what you suggested, and yes, you're right: being upset about a competitive advantage granted to others while you play happily by yourself in a separate non-competitive mode in which said advantages will not affect you in the slightest seems like an overreaction, but there we go, we're in the Frontier forums, this is how it works. See also the abundant "I'm mad about new players getting more easily than I did in 2015 despite it having no bearing on my playtime or life in any conceivable way!" style posts.) I will say...

why? Colonia is a far away place for a reason. Players who have decided to relocate made a choice, and if players relocated without actually doing some basic fact gathering about Colonia, then they have to own up to it. All this would invite is for players that would not normally go there to end up here and arrive in their max engineered combat ships with a very bad jump range. and then when they get bored, they just hop onboard to get back "home" again. To do that today would require ALOT more work, as they either have to fly this ship to Colonia, or make a taxi ship and then pay a huge amount of credits for having the ship, or lots of modules shipped to Colonia. And then they have to wait for ship/modules to arrive. I think it is 60 hours or so. And now you are suggesting that you have to match the time before next jump and then basically in an instant be in Colonia... and all it would cost would be a "rebuy".

Another day without an influence tick. Deliberate bump in the vain hope of it getting noticed.

Glad it it worked out for you, but what kind of reaction did you expect when you make a piloting error (which we all do from time to time), whine about the consequence on the forums (which most of us don't) and then demand that support go in and manually erase your mistake (which is... special). And then, you edit out the relevant part of the video? No intention of being demeaning here, but consider the optics of the way you handled this.

if you a refering to bgs, i can only report, that our bgs chief is a wizard, since we keep growing and winning conflicts like crazy as if BGS works perfectly fine. I mean I don't live inside of FDev and see how they manage their code. Their biggest problem seems to be technical debt, which is the fault of the original teams. We will get soon(TM) get exciting(TM) news. :P I am always trying to look out for the Devs behind one of my favourite current games and that site just doesn't inspire confidence in my eye, that they can make a good first impression for people looking into Elite via Web. Sure your Remlock Suite will put you in a nice cryopod and we can come around to unfreeze you, once Elite has become better.

And posts like yours give the impression that those of us who enjoy Open believe your hyperbole and are begging for some kind of preferential treatment. I'm not going to pretend to speak for every Open player, but I don't need "incentive" crutches to encourage me, thanks. I'll take it as it is.

Looking at the new CZs from the POV of my new alt-account, lordy they're absolute garbage. I didn't really want to do a lot of combat with this account, aside from what I need to do to unlock various engineers, so I bought myself a Viper Mk4 - which is a fairly common ship in CZs and it's the sort of combat ship you might expect to find a newbie flying - and it's just...useless in new CZs. I do okay at flying and I equipped it with C2 beam lasers and C1 rails and CZs were just impossible. It's like I was shooting fog and feathers at the enemy ships. Part of the problem is that the NPCs are now gigantic bullet-sponges and part of the problem is that the NPCs are clueless. I tried attacking things like Vipers, Asps, Cobras and Vultures 1vs1 and I just sit behind them, constantly firing my (G3 engineered) lasers/rails and their shields sometimes go down (if they don't just pop an SCB and put me back at square 1) after a couple of minutes of constant fire and then their hulls go down by 1% every 10...
