    I must say, you got a point. Being a combat only ship, it's really not the best at it. But that's a fundamental design flaw, I'm afraid. The ship was designed to boom and zoom, not to turn fight its way to glory. And that's exaclty what it does, and it does it well. I'm not an expert but I think high speed and very low drift means you can dictate the distance of engagement in a jousting matchup, just like an iCourier does. Although, if PVPers are to be believed - and I guess they are - jousting is not really the Meta, like, not at all. And that is exactly what puts the Mamba in a very unique (and fun) spot. So yeah, maybe it might deserve a small buff in speed/agility/durability to make it a bit more effective at what it does. But I still don't think it would be smart to remove all that makes it so unique (and flawed, maybe) just to make it PVP viable because people are fed up of the FdL dominance.

    I just had time to go do some head to head play. I fitted the Mamba out with mostly A rated Core internals, weapons, and optional internals that are actually playable (some cargo, SRV, passenger cabin, fuel scoop, chaffe, point defense, etc.). Did the same to my Cobra Mk3 and Orca. All stock A rated thrusters. All 3 ships had similar speeds at full throttle, 4 PIPs to ENG. All 3 boosted to mid 430m/s range, all 3 stayed above 400m/s after boosting for 5 to 6 seconds. The Mamba was a touch behind the Cobra and Orca, just a few m/s though, less than 5. Maybe the "feel" thing has to do with acceleration? I noticed that when I throttle up the Mamba, it doesn't feel like it's leaping forward. When boosting, the audio and acceleration seem like it's chugging it's way up to boost speed. The Cobra and Orca somehow seem to GO NOW. So yes. It is one of the fastest, no matter the "feel".

    Transfer is basically like this: From any shipyard you can open the transfer ship list - and order one or more of your ships, which are located at other shipyards, to be transferred to where you currently are - this costs time and money - dependent on ship's value and distance. similar with equipment, which you have stored in some other place. You can let owned and stored equipment from some other outfit location be transferred to where you are - which is of course as well an outfit location, otherwise you wouldn't have access to the "stored items" section at all. Easy to remember basically - transfer is "get my stuff from somewhere else to my current location". You cannot do it the other way round and send it to some other place - it is one way only - from somewhere else to where you currently are.

    So gathering materials is grinding and meaningless because you cant use the materials but somehow grinding to max out a bank account and not spending the money to do it when the point of of making money is to spend it is totally different?

    Just talked about it on the live stream. Random systems attacked by Thargoids like now but with stations being damaged if you don't kill enough goids. If you kill enough goids then things get better... Inc Thargoid conflict zones too. Incursion is a new background sim state. Very cool Frontier!

    Nope, it's cheaper, more agile, cooler (literally cooler), can land on more places thanks to it's smaller size and it still has more jump range than the AspX.

    thanks for reply. after a bit of playing around, It was the camera rotation(left and right) I needed not tuning. Eventually got it sort of working (I think), going to take a bit of messing about to see what I can do with it. Did manage to work out dss and have a first mapped done. Also sold my krait MkII and bought a mamba to test. Interesting ship, darker paint might be a good option on it though, the arrow heads out the front are very white and dazzling on the eyes in the star shine.
