And you need to target the physical beacon (satellite), not the nav point.

Well at least it's not grindy. (Ignore that dripping noise. It's just sarcasm.)

It's when sidewinders consistently Interdict my Anaconda for my cargo, that I've forgotten I'm carrying, and still expect me to drop it. It's like; 1) Your weapons don't hurt me. 2) You can't mass lock me. 3) You can't even hold the cargo I'm carrying. Yet they keep trying. Lol I'd love more interesting pirates, but I do worry about those min/max traders...

Oh, I watched too many TV series to even wonder about such things. If protagonists/antagonists get killed I'm usually surprised if they are really dead and gone. Usually, if they are needed for some reasons, they show up again and some really strange reasons why they survived are given. Something like managed to get to a secret spaceship and hide the h-wake in the explosion by exactly timing the jump and then… I'm still confused that Salomé is basically dead, but even there there is a backdoor (backup of that black mind transfer thingy and a new clone). “That is not dead which can eternal lie, yet with stranger aeons, even Death may die.”

At least for me Elite is more alive than ever. Of course there are things to be fixed, but for me there are always things to do in this game, and that´s more I can say from any other game (specially now that my faction is at war with another player faction) And we alse have new content is coming, like the new ships, more mechanichs for exploration, trading and mining etc. Regards

Sag* is a hard one but mostly due to all the stars and the inevitable slow down that would cause the map. Give me an hour I'l post something on YouTube.

That may or may not be true- IF and when the "competition" actually releases a game.

And this is what I even mentioned in the first post. Everyone is correct in their opinion. The kick started set up your expectations. And the direct implementation did not marry up to your expectations. And as a straight up consumer I would chant "bait and switch". But as a developer from a while back to running QA, I have experience and understanding, that what is on the white-board, in the niave early stages, seams great. But in the implementation, their are compromises, there are bugs, there are issues.

This is "black crush". VA panels have lower black level and higher contrast, but as downside this causes more visible banding of darkest colours, because limitations of 8-bit colour became more apparent. OLED (as in VR headsets) have same issues in ED.

So much this ^^^ FD had a good head start on the competition and squandered it.

Its a bit late now, but I always check the System Map, then when I am within 1000ls, the Nav Panel. The mission icon is the least ambiguous method of identifying their actual destination. Sometimes they are happy with just visiting and will speak up after a few seconds, sometimes they want you to hang around for 10 mins or more, but AFAIK it is normally mentioned in the mission text when they do want a long visit.

It's all good :) Possibly yeah, but the response was just clumsy. If you're going to punish someone, then do it - "CMDR so and so, we have reports, backed by our server logs, that you've been violating section 3.5 of the Elite Dangerous EULA ("Combat logging"). As a result we've temporarily suspended your account for a week. If you feel this is in error, you may contest this decision by clicking on this link." Otherwise you end up looking completely toothless. There were a ton of good suggestions made by people at the time, but I guess that there's something coming that absolutely requires telepresence to work, and we're stuck with the ugly narrative side effects for now.

Everyone will be landing their ships as close to wrecks as possible to save all the laborious 1 crate at a time half speed back and forth. There seems to be a lot of elements in SC that I can't help feeling the cost of realism will result in drudgery. Carrying crates and running at half speed sounds good until you do it 10 times or until you sneak into a guarded wreck and get spotted on the way out, all it would need then is yakety sax to kick in... That's one of the nice things about SRVs, it's smooth instead of laborious, you get in, scoop up the cargo, speed back to your ship, handbrake turn to hangar bay and get the hell out.

Perspective please? If the game has kept you entertained enough to max out the ranks, and played well over 5000 hours, that doesn't mean the game has gone stale or bad, its kept your attention for 5000 hours! perspective! that is quite an achievement, many games from tripple A developers cannot do that, so clearly despite your issues with the game, there's enough in the game to keep you entertained for at least 5000 hours. That talks volumes for the game, not against it. And honestly, if you play something enough? yes, it will feel repetitive and stale no way around it, no game can keep that much unique process. To address your points. 1: I do not seem to have this issue, so can't say?

I will guess FD first hand approach NOT to explaining tele presence was right one - it is just like CQC, some nice side activity. Also I don't think that was biggest issue with it - biggest issue was that there was no non-combat activities in it. I personally hope FD adds navigator role for MC, because that actually might be fun. It feels FD themselves are quite disappointed that MC development didn't turn out way they wanted to be. At least during FX it felt that way. As for avoiding combat - high wake is definitely not cheating. Never will be, never have been. Meny exit with timer also isn't. it is grey area granted, but overall no one cares if player exits game gracefully.
