Maybe that's the UI panel for a squadron owned/lead/has rank in by the CMDR we're watching, or it's a shared UI. Perhaps the CMDR has yet to approve/deny two other CMDRs applications into HIS/HER Squad.

Right, So what? how many people abused robigo or during the days of instant trading by low-waking to a wing mate. Stuff like that has no direct impact on the game. There's way bigger issues like combat logging. I could name a dozen of exploits on top of my head since the release of the game. Nightshady has always been a salty gummy bear.

Now that I come to think about it I very much doubt the "victim" in this case was frightened. Actually, now that I come to realize it those people in the horror houses must be bullies, they certainly do frighten me. Once more, diccionary definitions are extremely superficial & do not take into account context. I'm sure that by this point I'd need to show you interviews with the people who know me in RL to convince you that I'm a meh guy even if I sometimes just kill somebody in a game that is designed to allow such behaviour but keep going.

Certain forms of balancing engineer upgrades will not work on some modules. Considering that engineering mods should have at least one significant drawback to balance out the intended benefits of the mod, modules that don't have one or more of the values that are negatively affected by engineering mods are a lot harder to make engineering blueprints for. As much as I would like to see engineering blueprints for many of the modules that currently do not have blueprints or only have the shielded blueprint, there is only so much that can be done with those modules due to the balancing factors those modules have. Discounting experimental modules: AFMUs, fuel scoops and refineries only have the Shielded blueprint, and lack any other type of blueprint or secondary effect Cargo racks, fuel tanks and passenger cabins do not have any type of engineer blueprint Take a look through the list. How do you create balanced engineer blueprints for these modules? Most of these modules are massless, so you can't...

Interesting. Stock vs stock and DDG3 vs DDG3 the Cutter feels like it moves better IMO. Only issue is the drift. But I may have different preferences in flight profile.

Saw some good info in this thread, just wish I could remember it LOL. My Dell WMR arrives tomorrow from Amazon, got a certified refurb for around $220US and a 4 yr warranty for a whole $5.06. I have a Rift right now, and this Dell solves my 2 biggest complaints about the Rift: Can't wear my glasses and as a consequence it's hard to read the keyboard and side monitors when I peek out from under it. According to both video and text reviews I read even large glasses will fit in the Dell, and it has a flip-up feature rather than having to peek from under it. I have used Oculus Desktop but it's easier just to peek out. I need to read the posts again, I saw something about an app I can install in order to use my Oculus apps. And good info on the USB, the Microsoft WMR compatible test I ran highlighted a possible problem in device manager with USB, but I had both the one that says "Microsoft" after it and the one that doesn't. I have the computer's USB ports and also a 10 outlet USB hub. I have...

There used to be a great thread on the old Bethesda forums where people would post free and legal stuff found on the internet, all sorts really, utilities and such. Some stuff that you wouldn't normally come across, great fun to rummage through and share. After all, what could be better than free? I thought it would be good to try and resurrect that here, see if there's any interest. Kicking things off: For anyone with an interest in art history, The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art allows you to download high quality pdfs of most of their publications for free. Personallly I prefer art books in hard copy but at least these are free and don't weigh a tonne. Some real treasures here - https://www.metmuseum.org/art/metpublications/India_Art_and_Culture_1300_1900 Just browse though the thematic category search field to see the range of subjects. ------------------------------------------------

Mr Hankey was excited about the latest exploration changes. He decided to go shopping for a new honk-scanner.He wanted a sound that wouldn't alarm his pet.He checked his telemetry and dropped his python 'Percy' in front of a large ceramic wall.He leaned out of the cockpit and shouted down."Can you make this for me? I've drawn the sounds i want in crayon on bearskin, it's a sort of slurpy, whooshy, squishy sound. It's on a mat up here."The bouncers looked at one another in bewilderment."This is Dick's Horny Tool Club. Are you a member?"

I'm very happy to share what little I know... 1. Yes apparently you can assign a set of button presses to a single function, and it uses another one of those 'plugin's I mentioned earlier, but for the life of me I haven't been able to figure out how to use it yet - that bl**dy software! I would really like to have a macro for launching a ship based fighter, but so far it's beyond me. Cronus do promote this function as being available though. 2. I know exactly what your talking about with the touchpad, adn no, I haven't figured out any way to use these extra imputs - sorry! Hope this is of help. Stiggy.

Repped, it is this assumption that FD has that the players will work out things for themselves that is so frustrating. Here is a classic example, Patch Notes for Update 3.2, FD introduced a new mechanism for cargo missions: Introduced the cargo depot mechanic to non-wing delivery missions That is all that was said, no mention of having to load the cargo, no mention of well anything. And we saw the result here, post after post of people complaining that they arrived at the destination with the wrong cargo, complaining that they couldn't buy the cargo. Yet FD just assumed we would instantly know what to do and how to do it. I remember some very experienced commanders complaining on the forums when that dropped, so what hope would there be for some casual player understanding how to do it without making an error first!

Actually mobius is an example of multiplayer where an action is possible but not permitted. People ostensible accept an agreement to that effect. That is, a full damage and interaction model where hostile action is frowned upon and those usurping are ejected. That's fine, because those are the terms and people are expected to accept before joining. Frontier has a different set of terms whereby the same action is not cause for automatic ejection. Even if people believe it should be. People endlessly use mobius as an example, but this is ignoring that such a thing cannot happen officially, because the developer cannot simply mandate you do not shoot other commanders or you are banned. Frontier has to rewrite the EULA to expressly forbid illegal action and then programatically ensure the game cannot allow it. Sandy has explained, previously, how much of a game of whack a mole that is. Gentlemans rules are not sufficient. It would require administration sanction, EULA changes and removal of most...

I read this version in "The Wrong Stars" so captain of the ship in the story that made the quote apparently got it from those earlier pieces of knowledge. :) None-the-less, the quote still holds true for lots of plans we make in our lives.
