That's only your own opinion and you're welcome to it. My own opinion is that nothing beats the BLOCK. Both are valid. Neither are absolute. People are different. Remember that before stating your preferences as if they are a fact. Yours Aye

No collision? Quite apart from giving some silly screenshots ... fly a Sidewinder inside an expensive ship, then shoot the station to use them as ablative armour. Or similar tricks in a busy CZ or RES, of course. If you want to "not exist for PvP actions" there is a 100% reliable way to do that already implemented (Solo) and a 99.9% reliable way to do that (Open, outside of a few known hotspots). Anyone not happy with 99.9% isn't going to be happy with the "100% except in the cases Frontier didn't think of" that an "Open+flag" would give. Why take the risk of being instanced?

Elite should use procgen the way NMS uses procgen. And I don't mean put animals everywhere. NMS generates variants of every rock, plant, building interior, outpost/base layout, ship, etc. Elite just has cut and paste assets for all their stations, outposts, guardian site, brain trees, points of interest, scatter rocks, etc. The procgen terrain is great. The procgen star systems are great. Why can't smaller, more intimate things have a procgen aspect as well? Use those ship kit pieces on NPC ships. Create tiled sections of geometry for station interiors, exteriors, etc, and make everything unique. Why does every tourist station have to have the EXACT SAME park layout and the same exact statues everywhere? It would make such a difference if there were more variation in the details, especially for the types of locations you interact with again and again (looking at you surface data point scan locations). Remember how excited people were when they added a few more station interior types? That was a good move....

to each their own, but if there is a dog taking a dump in my kitchen, I dont bother just putting plastic sheets down so it does not mess the place up. i boot the dog out and do not let it back in again.... (note my response is meant to be somewhat light hearted and not really literal...... though the analogy rings true. IF we are not enjoying the emergent content being delivered by some players, and given FD have given us tools to minimise us having to see those players, why not use them?. i like the idea of a bit of role play piracy.... but what is going on in the OP is just 4th wall breaking and therefore game breaking in my view.

Stats vs hands on. It feels much better to me, can't be doing with the Conda for fighting. You've just got to try it and see.

I think you've hit the proverbial nail on the head! Of course, can only be the space weed! I'll nip over to HIP 55118 with my newly engineered FSD and see if I can bring her back a few bags of the stuff. May make her smile eh?

You live in a magic world. No one was ever banned for clogging. The topic may be moderated on this forum but the rest of the world pretty much deals with it. It's called ragequiting and it' even seen as a reward for the winner in other games. In ED it's pretty much the opposite, the attacker is just left with a bounty. It's hilarious. Ironicaly, having to use third party datamining softwares to find items in game is almost always forbidden in EULAs, usually because of their load on game servers. Try to think of that next time you use eddb, Inara and the other vaguely allowed resource you use in solo to grind your stuff.

Not going to happen, I fear. Such would unbalance the game. You can have great cargo capacity or great maneuverability. If you want both at the same time, then you'll need to find another game, cause you won't find that here. And I think that's a good thing. Ships are tools. Get the tool you need for the job. You wouldn't use a saw as a pry bar or a pair of channel locks as a hammer.

Opinion, not a fact. YMMV and all that. For me - it's much better to just get rid of people I have no intention to play with ever again :)

So basically you want people to censor their grievances with their exes, using example of some new people they might date....wait, what we are talking about again?

I think the difference in work force vs output is a legit topic of comparison between the two games, but in most other respects I find comparisons between ED & NMS to be a real stretch.

Hard to disagree with this logic, just be sure to notify the explorer you're attacking about why it is you feel the need to murder them.

Initially when there was protestation of canonn getting a mega ship i thought it was an over reaction but considering the length of time since they got theirs and no one else has gotten one yet i'd have to agree that they get preferential treatment, so happy hunting I guess

Hi guys, Hey, at least according to Coriolis, the Corvette is not that much more agile than an Anaconda, at least with dirty drag drives. And, actually, it looks like the Anaconda is markedly faster with yaw. Do the ships handle different in-game, or is the claimed agility edge of the Corvette mostly false? I am working towards getting the Corvette, but that was mostly because I expected it to feel more light-footed. (I still want one, just because it looks better in my opinion.)
