    I heard rumors that they shoot back, though. So, I go to CG and get called out for ganking harmless traders. It's a lose/lose situation either way when it comes to pvp. I'll have to purposely sift through and attack elite engineered cmdrs only so not to be seen as "griefing" by you few here. New cmdr, old cmdr... My FDL multicannons are not age restricted.

    Why? Because you think so? Anything you can do within the the game definitely is gameplay, unintended or not and you can call it whatever you damn well please. This is probably the root of why some are disagreeing with you and insulting you. There are a lot of times that I agree with you on these forums. This specific point is not one of them. Though, there was nothing wrong with sharing your findings and feelings on the subject. I even agree that certain exploits need to be fixed.

    i guess there are 2 options: 1) you never fully engineered your ship 2) you haven't bothered upgrading it to level 5 your time is totaly off. try to farm your stuff for 10 tries of all parts you want to mod in level 5 in 1 - 1,5 hours

    Algo tengo que estar haciendo mal... Despues de unas semanas jugando a este juego y leerme unas guias me toca pasar pyton por la itv de los ingenieros . Recibi una invitacion de Feliciti para conocernos y tal , y la se˝ora me pide que le lleve unas metaaleaciones , muy bien .... miro la mision y las metaaleaciones no dice donde pillarlas , que las busque que total que son 400.000 estrellas que ya dare con ellas ...lol . Asi pues, me leo unas guias y hay que ir a Maia , pues en ruta , no hay problema .... Mientras voy rumbo a Maia , me voy mirando guias para subir a la ingeniara , y una de ella me entero de que hay varios tipos de ingenieria y que hay que subir , por decirlo de algun modo , la reputacion para que te vaya dando "Planos" de nivel mas alto . Perfecto , veamos que materiales usa el primero para farmearlo .... Me recomiendan que me haga con hierro para subir el primero y llegar a los planos de nivel 3 , muy bien , Hierro , uno de los materiales mas comunes en el universo a ver donde lo...

    oh yea, the deadlines and release dates are definitely a problem. I think that was mainly due to: - A poor decision to base the release state on the game on the amount of stretchgoals reached - Understating the challenge and time needed to implement the stretch goals - Apparently not taking into considerations that each stretch goal would/could add serious extra time due to problems. I mean, they hoped for 3.0 in late fall 2016 and then *something* happened and the vertical slice went bye-bye and THEN we have a new 3.0 most likely a year later. So with their time table for 2016 being somewhat realistic something happened in 2016 that delayed a LOT of things or they made some drastic odd decision.

    Aside from particular hotspots such as CGs, there is something that could be done to reduce mindless PvP assaults in supposed high and medium security systems. If you're bounty-farming in a High RES and accidentally hit an authority ship or fire on another ship before you've scanned them properly, the authority ships are all over you. They can do serious damage through weight of numbers if you hang around, even if you have engineered shields. I just don't see why there can't be a similar response when you are interdicted in high security systems. Every now and then I purposely go to more popular systems in Open to see whether things have changed. Last time I did so, I was in an Asp and interdicted by an FDL. Then out of interest I tried again in my own FDL and was interdicted by the same FDL and a heavily-engineered Federal Corvette wing. I could have high waked easily but I wanted to see if I got any support from system ships. End result - obvious destruction - but I prolonged it enough to see some...

    Mine still isn't working-still can't access any missions or passenger contracts. Haven't been able to play the game since Friday night. It'd be great to hear from FDev about whether or not a fix is incoming soon.

    Getting to Star One was ten times harder (required 100 x tier-3 jumponium boosts, almost 3000ly of continuous boosting) whereas Ishum's reach only required a handful.

    Frontier tried baby steps. A tiny reduction in stacking effect. Notice how we don't have that now? We don't, because people screamed murder. No, I actually believe we absolutely need the developer to sort this out, once and for all. Because the endless re-engineering of crap because some recipie changes or values shift is just wasteful and tends to create a negative experience. Do it once, right. And build the thing to be modular. So it can be adapted and built on. Not endless series of different colour bandages. Sometimes? You just have to pull that bandaid off.

    Exactly. If you want to exploit, exploit. If you want to grind, grind. Personally, I think that misses the point of the actual game - the long progression through the ships, whist doing a wide variety of stuff. If people want to get a Cutter or Corvette ASAP, fair enough, but I can't help but feel they're cheating themselves somehow. <shrug> That said - in a shared universe, every action should affect the game. e.g. trade CGs would need rebalancing if everyone rocks up in a Cutter. But then, as others will no doubt point out, in the grand scheme of things, does anything done in the BGS or for CGs matter? The universe has to 'continue on as normal' to allow everyone to keep playing the game of Elite 'as normal'.

    My Orca is great. Now with engineered FSD and other bits and bobs she exceeds 50ly. Tsunami Surfer is currently on Silly Ships 2 exped and is doing well. I'll post pics later. Proof that Orcas are excellent Explorer ships.

    I'd like the ability to use a 'favour' to lock a single slider in position, and reroll the rest. You only get 1 try. So it's a risk/reward thing. After your reroll, if you don't accept it, the favour (and thus reputation) is deducted, meaning you lose access to that grade until you rank up again. So if you got a 55% god roll on FSD range, but completely failed on everything else in the upgrade, you can lock it at 55% once, and reroll the rest, hoping for a better result. Yes/no?     Hmm well that's odd! Do you have a different DPI setting from 96? CL2 (and CL1) use Qt4, which isn't fantastic when it comes to handling DPI. It's been an annoyance for me for a long time. Qt is a fantastic GUI toolkit and I love it to bits, but boy it's annoying when it comes to different screen resolutions and/or DPI!

    No need for that IMO, there are plenty of ways the existing balance could be tweaked. Shield regeneration being too high at higher levels of shields would make certain ships practically invulnerable to smaller ships. Arguably, that is a reasonable balance approach but FD may have skewered themselves with certain historic balancing decisions. Overall, having shields in excess of 1500MJ is absurd given the current weapon and shield balance. It is largely unnecessary in the PvE setting, unless you plan on trying to solo fleets of ships in a fur-ball type combat environment. We could perhaps go down the route of rebalancing everything but I would much rather see FD take the baby steps route and give people a sequence of gradual changes in order to give players a chance to adjust and adapt.

    I think I rather have Frontier work on the bugs to help with the lag then have it displayed for us.. Here why. A lot of time we don't know how far it is when we view the map. We have to pay for the system info. That part of the game. Some people they might just have Lag.

    You can get your first taste of Cmdr blood without killing new pilots. Just head to a CG system, Maia or one of the engineers systems and you'll find plenty of people to shoot at

    Viper mkIII does look like a nice inexpensive ship with decent range (whoops, maybe not. Was looking at the upgraded jump range. Base jump range looks to not even be 8ly) and good speed. I usually couldnt care less about cosmetic dlc/micro transactions, but I can see myself throwing spare change at ship kits.
