Quite so... SimPits should be built in sheds. If there's any room left after 3d printers, laser cutters, washing machines, bicycles and the like.

I think an overall of Bounty Hunting is needed. I enjoy roaming a Haz Res and shooting up those demented NPCs who scan me for cargo and never wonder why I am there with no mining lasers or a hull full of Collection limpets until I unleash hot labour dethrone upon them. Having bounty hunter missions, where you have to use the wake scanner and track your prey would be fun. Having a bounty hunter Rep would NPCswould know you are outto get them and either high tail it with a suitable high waketo follow or shoot first and make silly comments in chat later. I think some way for Wanted Players to be able to be hunted by other players withhout them hiding in solo or a PRivate Group. Maybe along with Powerplay being only playable in Open, as soon as you are wanted you can only play in open, until bounty cleared or you are taken down.

X-3, just like Tabby's Star and others, is an iconic candidate for Raxxla.

Wrong. At the very least since 3.0.something. What elite does, when it can't find the required controller setup at start, is to revert to the default kb+m bindings. You can monitor this in the StartPreset.start and BindingLoadingErrors.log files in your Bindings folder, if you want to verify this. Only thing I'm not sure about is whether it will do this for all controllers or only the one(s) that is(are) missing. Your bindings aren't lost, however. Once you plug that controller back in (preferrably - we're talking about Windows, after all - into the same USB port as before), everything is back where you left it. For e.g., my PC occasionally refuses to recognize the throttle on wakeup. Upon starting ED, I notice that usually immediately, since I have my UI interaction keys bound on the throttle hats - I can't scroll down to start the game from the main menu. Unplug and replug the offending beast fixes that immediately, I don't even have to leave the game.

Well I’m not an explorer and do dabble in PvP. And you know what? It’s boring, dull, and as I previously said, a dead end. I PvP for what? To make someone HW or CL after 10 minutes of shield pounding. Big fun eh? As I stated: Come up with some idea to make PvP contribute to the game and “meaningful” PvP will come. It’s almost a tangent that does nothing.

That often has a lot more to do with regional accents - 'international english' has nowhere near the variations you'll find across the UK. When I first moved here I was doing research in South Yorkshire. Sheffield was fine, but for the first six months, whatever they were speaking in Barnsley might as well have been Yiddish. Since then, research and travel has taken me all over the UK and the diversity of local dialects is fantastic!

That is a factor, the SRV is probably considered an unexpected obstacle.

This is true but for PvP it is not. There is no meaningful PvP in the game. You don't get missions, materials, credits or anything of in-game v alue out of PvP. You actually only invest in it, alot. Creating PvP only CZs for example and getting special "PvP bonds" (maybe merits?) for them so you can unlock new modules and such would be a cool thing. But no, many of us PvPers spend their time shooting anything that is hovering in front of our gunsights, regardless of faction, ship, allegiance, etc. "Griefing" as many call it would be reduced drastically if PvP had an actual featured place in the game with rewards of value. No, CQC is no PvP, it's a tutorial at best.

I agree that the new probe thingy (DSS ??) is a great step forward. It opens up so much more for Commanders. And you don't have to spend hours criss crossing a planet and eyeballing in the hope of finding that "anomaly". The thing is, if you take the DSS out of the picture... I think the FSS needs work. It's too easy (although all those distant L and T and Y stars now get some love !!). And I don't even have to wonder if that HMC is Terraformable or not... I find out without leaving the main star. The old system was not perfect, but this new one (minus the DSS) is not any better (in my opinion).

Before 3.3 I preferred to travel over long distances with throttle on my T.Flight Hotas X set to 100% continuously. As we are now forced to use the FSS to have at least a quick overview what an undiscovered system may contain, it's annoying to throttle down, enter and exit the FSS and throttle up again and again. I don't know if this already has been posted by somebody or anywhere else, but I have found a simple configuration that allows you to open and exit the FSS quickly without using the Throttle to throttle down and up again. I also don't know, whether this will work with other HOTAS'. Let me know this, please. It does not work when you use only keyboard/mouse (see the note about it further down below), and I am not able to test it with a gamepad, but I think it will not work with it. CONFIGURATION: Enter the Controls of the game and under "FLIGHT THROTTLE" assign a key/button to "SET SPEED TO 0%" and under "FULL SPECTRUM SYSTEM SCANNER" assign the same key/button (!) to "ENTER FSS MODE" and...

As "someone's girlfriend" (or maybe grill-fiend), I can honestly say I don't hate it... except when I do... which tbh isn't often. My girlfriend doesn't either, though she is frustrated with the adjudication server right now.

My wife simply can not get her head around how it works. I have atleast 1 26mil 'Vette rebuy due to her not understanding that there is no 'pause button', the 'I need you right now' turned out to be helping to fold a (insert rude word) duvet cover!
