    Thanks Mitch, Turns out although I received an invite the station, they never received the letter. Something about homing Pigeon and radiation. Not sure. Customer support reimbursed me for my loss and I took a screen shot of the evidence. That way when I'm triple elite with a sidewinder I can explain the 1 insurance claim. lol I'm sure ill be clear saving at least 234 more times before I'm successful. Thanks and fly dangerous !

    I understand this very well and didn't meant to question these forms as such - just in the context of PVP. I also understand this and why it would open up another potential alternate gameplay for both BGS and PP, but also would be an invitation to play purely destructive (as in just disturbing or even completely blocking other players collective work). In particular in light of the not quite trivial structures of the BGS I can guarantee that the latter would be no rare exception. It also would force non-PvPer into a gameplay that they've not chosen and probably dislike. On the contrary, what kind of harassment could PvEer possibly do to PvPers to counter such destructive play or to force them into a gameplay that they won't like? I don't mean to say that PvP should never have any connection to the BGS but as it stands right now, where is the significance to a PvPer? I have to admit that I'm not playing the BGS nor doing any PvP (for now at least) but sometimes I wonder if there really are any BGS...

    So glad they made this change - before it wasn't worth winging up. Why spend an hour with friends so you can make 1/4 the rewards - was truly a disincentive to wings. As far as work it's the same. If your solo you have the system authority to help you out, if you're in a wing you might have your wingmates help

    Thanks - yes finding a suitable body is easy enough, it's whether the meteorites spawn or not that I'm unsure of. I wonder if anybody else has tried it or not.

    First off, some of the best PvP'ers in the game use KB+M exclusively. With "relative mouse" it appears that it is better for FA OFF than most joystick setups out there. It is not for everyone though, and I can't stand it myself. HOTAS just feels right, while KB+M feels wrong somehow. Personal preference I guess. With that said, there are quite a few HOTAS setups out there and all have their own quirks or features that separate them from the others. The most common I believe is the Thrustmaster HOTAS X. It's a very reasonably priced complete setup with plenty of buttons to program. And by using two of the buttons (9+10 in my case) as "shift" buttons, you can get a triple function for all of them. It is however less accurate than others out there, but that's the downside to buying a cheap one. The T16000M mentioned is an upgrade from the HOTAS X, and will probably be my next choice. Personally I don't like the throttle, which is a slider without a center indent. I prefer not using a button to toggle...

    Nothing (o.k. maybe a placeholder - small detail on the surface structure like the odd rock in a wasteland or triangle formation), until expanded structures and barnacles are in the game, IMHO.

    It is nothing to do with not wanting to admit to anything - I kind of neutral where your stance is concerned. You make some good points but I do not necessarily agree with all your conclusions. Nope - did not miss it, my reference to our own planets weather is more down to model complexity comparisons. Modelling a galaxy properly is at least of a similar scale of complexity if not more complex (especially if you consider modelling the internals of stars and gas giants as well as atmospheric conditions of worlds in general). Complexity of the model depends on what factors you take into account and you can employ micro level cheats/assumptions to achieve a reasonable macro level effect. Full on system models can take hours to run a prediction where weather is concerned. I am sure the model for a proper RT gravitational system (with a pre-established state) is more than with-in the capabilities of modern gaming hardware.     Its more like an obvious fact I am amazed people don't get; the BGS/Powerplay is PvP. Just different rules. To be frank, to me the complaint is not getting your player ship kills, not the lack of competition.

    I'm looking forward to the money sink and a somewhat new flying experience. I don't need a miner bigger than my T6. I do most of my trading in a Python. I fight in my Vipers, Vulture, FDL and F*Ss'. Seems like a good mother ship if we ever get to dock our Sidewinders.

    I don't even have a Corvette, I've mainly done pirate lord missions in a Vulture with 2 gimballed pulse lasers. I did try to spice things up a bit by changing into fixed multi-cannons, which felt a bit fresh, but still kind of tedious. But I digress. My point wasn't that I need harder combat missions, the elite rank wetwork missions are already more than I can handle. What I want is those middle-ground missions, which are harder than a single Anaconda, but easier than an entire convoy of 8 ships. Like I said, assassination missions targeting small wings would be nice.

    There doesn't seem to be anything in common for systems with Thargoids. I have noticed that they are more likely to spawn in areas of interest to humans eg in system with a water world they are more likely to spawn near the water world. But we do have systems for threat 5 & 6 that simply consist of s star and nothing else. HIP 17862 has ammonia but that is normal for a system with a surface site. The ammonia distibution is no different to the rest of the galaxy. Research on this has already been done The number of barnacle sites is growing all the time as we have a group of dedicated barnacle sniffer. Barnacles are on the 3D map for that very purpose. I'm sure if they noticed anything change they would have told us as they do revisit.
