I'll comment on that. Ask yourself the question... how did that fringe system turn into a fed system? You guys seem to be confusing lore with player activity. Just because most federal players don't seem to care to work the BGS and expand federal controle, doesnt mean the federation (and the empire) are not aggressive expansionists. It's kinda your thing. Ppl flee your corrupt mess to the fringe where the hope to setup a life for themselfs... independent, how they see fit. But if there's any money to be made the feds or imps show up. They then simply declare by the interstellar law they made up together, that the resources are not used adequately(or some other excuse, like it's to dangerous there) and ship a corp in there to take over. The corp has massive funds, ships a load of imp or wage slaves in there and in no time at all overshadow the independent ppl.

You can certainly compare parts of them and point out as inspiration, but expectations of implementation have certainly grown by multiple, I won't mention network connectivity, graphical fidelity, sound design and arch support, and so on and so forth. All what old games do is indicate that certain aspects of space game inspire us and awe us. They certainly tell very little how difficulty or even possible is do such features these days.

When you read my post, in your head; im guessing it sounded angry, but im not entirely sure how you got that mood from it as i was completely calm when writing it as i am now. There is a fundamental difference between discussing things you'd like in a game, and putting forward the idea of paying extra for features in a game, you've already bought. Now as you say its an open forum for discussion and opinions and i have stated mine clearly that i cannot fathom why anyone would think that its a good idea. Pre-funding games is something that should not be taken lightly as Kickstarter was considered a massive success and paved the way for Early Access. Early Access is a cesspool of what can only be described as "legal daylight robbery"...Total shovel ware released barely functional until they milk the most money they can out of it and totally abandon the project. There are many good articles out there on how pre-ordering and early access games are very damaging to the gaming industry for the consumer. ...

Hello, can you tell me, what resolution you are using? Hi there, your issue could happen, if you have selected a very high Trade Range. Please try to reduce it to the default value of 100 LY. Did you run the internal benchmark of TCE (Options panel, System tab)? What are the results?

Good day Cmdrs. I'm in a generous mood today. Imp Slave can currently be bought from Roentgen Hub in LFT 37 for just a smidgen over 12k per tonne and sold a short jump over to Aparctias at Hancock Refinery for 17k. That's 5k profit per tonne in less than 10 mins. Easy credits. Come join the party and fill your cargo holds!! You can thank me later.

I have also noticed that about the clipper. I did a bucky ball race in mine once and saw the rebuy screen at the back of the station several times.

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This . . . CMDR Bayer was sweating in his slumber, dreaming of the sweet punishments he would receive if he did not perform to her satisfaction. Yesterday, she had him clean the floor of the flight deck using only his tongue and a toothbrush. He shivered with anticipation, imagining what degrading chores she would assign him today before allowing him to attend to her more personal requirements. His behind warmed as he dreamed of her paddle, her whips and chains, the diaper she made him wear and the big pacifier he clenched in his teeth to muffle his screams of pain and pleasure.

So, a bit more testing, and yes, it is the flight assist doing strange things. In addition to stopping the rearward motion using the main engines, it for some reason thinks I want to keep moving sideways, so it applies lateral thrust to continue the ships motion to whatever side it was travelling towards. Strange, but I'll just have to work around it!

Can I ask the OP how much you paid? I'm in a similar position and I pay absolutely no attention to the prices of computer stuff until I actually need to buy something. PM me if you're more comfortable with that. With regard to PSUs, the big problem is that the voltage regulators start to fail after a year or so (depending on the quality) and that'll cause problems in a PC even if they're still providing plenty of wattage.

I was playing in Mobius (PG) yesterday, and I noticed that dropping out of SC was taking longer than normal. Not terribly long, but long enough that I was expecting at least one hollow square each time. Nope, none. This makes me think that it is indeed the servers, as there is a 'matchmaking' server that tracks who is where, so that the P2P can be established between those players.
