    Which, at the risk of labouring the point, I am seemingly not likely to find out about until after they're over. Hadn't really been playing much ED since 3.0 due to the galmap CTDs. I wonder if the game detects this and stops sending the newsletters or something?

    I had a cop vs. cop instance this weekend, when I got interdicted on a mission run - cops joined and together we exposed the offender. While I started scooping the dropped materials, some cops kept shooting at each other.

    No, it wasn't a failed experiment, because their goal was to detect tau neutrinos, produced via oscillation from muon neutrinos. For that, it worked well. The faster-than-light anomaly that made it somewhat (in)famous was just an unintended avenue of investigation. By the way, an excellent example for such would be the Michelson-Morley experiment. Technically, that was a failure as well, as their goal was to measure the aether wind, via the speed of light changing in perpendicular directions. (This was several decades before a guy named Einstein came forward with his theories. At the time, theories for light-bearing aether were prevalent.) For setting up the experiment, the two invented interferometers, which are extremely useful experimental tools, owing to their excellent sensitivity.     Giving orders is entirely optional. By default they will attack anyone who hits you, which is normally want you want anyway. Sometimes I issue "Attack My Target" if the SLF has been left behind, but not often. All orders can be attached to Key Binds - I have Ctrl-A (attack my target) and Ctrl-D (dock), never use the others. While "testing", you are not getting a good idea of what they can do, they cant hit the side of a barn till they get to Dangerous. Their distraction of enemy ships is for me, their best attribute.

    Just look at the most helpful Steam reviews. Take the first 100, count all the reviews with the word grind in it. It's about 50/50. By the way, the 40/60 ratio he's talking about is based on the Steam statistics of positive vs negative reviews.

    When I started my CMDR career, nearly 2 years ago, I did some extensive reading about ED before I decided to hop in. I remember the forum back then - people complaining about money not being in enough quantities, guides on how to make 200M/hr and generally how game is imbalanced. With that in mind I launched into space in my loaned Sidewinder, almost zero knowledge beside 0:07 rule to not to overshoot your target station. I did data delivery missions, cargo delivery missions exclusively as any other option felt too difficult or too complicated. I quickly exchanged my SW for an Adder, then Cobra, then T-6. My goal was to get DBX and while being at T-6 stage I started to experiment with mining and combat. Up to that point I felt real progression. In starter ship I rather quickly upgraded FSD. In Adder I had great FSD (not top one) and lots of cargo (22t, wee). At T-6 I had A-rated FSD and was enjoying that awesome jump range - at first I skipped on missions that required 20 LYs trip.     Can confirm this. I even started the plot at a neutron star and it did not plot an immediated boost jump. Guardian FSD booster fitted also.

    Good for you, I really couldnt care less. Cognitive dissonance is not my buisiness. Yup. ^ this right here. Factor in all those who left due to in-game bull , and those who are unhappy now, it's a very large portion of the community. NOONE on PS4 is happy. Or at least noone i've spoken too.

    I have no oc-ed weapons, cannot check on that, sry. But my gut says +dmg always only applies to hull dmg, not breaching dmg. Afaik the only mods affecting breaching dmg are experimental addons: - HYS (explosion radius after penetrating hull) - deep penetrator payload (dumbfire, torpedo same as above) - super-pen railgung (damaging modules on the projectile path) None of those increases the dmg to the first module hit afaik.

    It's kind of a mutual thing, Apple is depreciating OpenGL (having not updated it in favour of metal) which is very much required by the Cobra engine. Whether it works on bootcamp or not also depends on if your mac meets the minimum specifications for the game i.e. Jurassic World Evolution Minimum System Requirements OS: Windows 7 64-bit. CPU: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz or AMD FX-4300 3.8 GHz. RAM: 8 GB System Memory.
