Anyone know when Coriolis will be updated with the new mining tools? The outfitting in Inara has them listed already. Looks like the E:D Shipyard does not have them listed yet either.

It's now day 3 since I sent my first ticket and still haven't heard back from Frontier. I don't know what else to do.

I think you've lost track of the conversation I was having - since I've got no idea what you think I was saying. I certainly made no judgement about the relative speeds of the ADS and FSS.

Hey you don't need to in the bubble at least. The system map is always populated, and signal sources still appear as they always did so you should be alright. I've only been playing in the bubble since patch and haven't turned it on for a functional need yet. Also thanks for your elite content, and when you're on those youtuber podcasts, i always find your commentary the most rational out of the bunch.

Yes, alas, because you'd rather the positive feedback in support of the FSS be ignored and buried. Once again we see the cry of being ignored and buried when your demands are not immediate given in to, and all other feed back that is of a difference of option, well clearly those people don't exist right?

I believe this is even before the update. I have Chaff, Heat Sinks, etc. on Y+LT/LB/etc. It also triggers the Frameshift drive. However, for me those items are usually used in normal space, so I can cancel the jump quickly. Either way it is a bit annoying. Seems Y just triggers first even if both buttons are pressed together or Y is held down first.

Oh, you missed the point - The green you mentioned in a hashtag, flooding the milky way - I don't see. Like I said when I replied to your screenshot - I see a neutron star and the rest looks fine. You're posting as if I agree'd with your screenshot as an example of how bad the game is. I wasn't. Because my screen isn't yours, and its not set up like yours. I could post your own screenshot back to you as a counter point to your own argument - get it? Sucks for you tho, as I said I like how the light falls on things - you have a problem with the background. *shrug*

The FSS - that thing you use, out of the cockpit, while parked by the star - gives you all the information the old ADS gave you, PLUS the information that the old DSS gave you, PLUS an indication of exactly which planets have POIs on them, AND what type they are. Yes, you have to play a minigame in order to unlock all that information, but since there is no failure mechanism to it, you could train a monkey to do it. That, my friend, is far more godly than the ADS ever was. As far as finding POIs go, I'd have preferred a 'hotspot' mechanism where you get an enhanced probability of finding a POI, but you have to actually find it for yourself. You know, do a bit of exploration.

This is mostly a 'VR Problem,' so I am asking here. Previously, when I had a transaction pending in my Transaction tab.. something like 'Transport X Tons of Y to Station Z' I could click on the Transaction for the details. In that page there is an option to 'Open galaxy map' to plot a course for this mission. Lets assume I am taking cargo to Leonard Nemoy station in LHS 3006 system. If I opened the Galaxy Map through the detail of that transaction, the map would open with LHS 3006 selected. Now, it opens with my current system selected. This means I have to take off my HMD and actually type LHS 3006 into the search in my galaxy map. Previously, I didn't have to do this.

It does in relation to how ED is displayed on the same screen. It's identical to how the acutal game looks (excluding compression). If the background image looks green-tinted on the screenshot, it will look green-tinted in the game. Which has absolutely no impact on the validity of the posted screenshot, since the colors are identical to how the game is displayed on your screen. Again, differences between monitors isn't the issue since taking a screenshot is not the same as taking a picture of your monitor. Case in point: if the milky way in the image appears green to you on the screenshot it will appear green to you in the game, since they are both displayed on the same device. This isn't solved by changing the color temperature either, since the tint depends on the local star. It will display the relative shift in color - as it appears in the game - just fine, regardless of your personal taste (provided you are not red/green color blind).

My 1yr old us obsessed with the x56.. every time he sees it out he races towards it and demands to be on my lap playing with all the switches on the throttle and pushing the joystick trying to copy me.. its co cute. Somehow i find it adorable when he emergency drops me out of supercruise. I showed him the boost button i mapped on the stick and he presses that impressed with himself. Amazing. Lately he seems to be staring at the game itself wondering what it is.. surprising since its just balls in space. Wifey i don't think knows what to make of it.. other games she sees whats going on and gets it, but a fly on the wall watching someone playing elite probably only sees a sequence of witchspace and glowing orange circles materialise.. having said.. ive been so impressed with elite since i've been able to put my name on things in the bubble im determined to teach her how to play over the holidays.

Here's one: Have an FDev employee attempt to pirate a single NPC trader on stream. While it is doable - you need Ion Disruption mines, which are easy to get - it's on a scale from extremely punishing to excruciating pain. You have to hit an NPC's drives until they're at or near single-digit percentage and then hit them with a mine - without being caught in the blast radius, which reboots your drives. You then hit the drives and destroy them while the NPC is standing still. You get no points for doing it in Anarchy and you get negative points if you destroy the drives without the NPC being in a standstill due to the mines. If an FDev employee manages to do that without dying to police, in a low security system (4.5 minutes until police response), I will eat a sock.

Performance has taken quite a hit on Xbox too. Fdev said the new lighting and all wouldn't have an effect on performance,......yeah right!
