    It's a bug and it's already been reported multiple times. From my experience it happens more often when there is a high number of commanders one or more wings. Your case it's the first time i hear a station attacked someone without an hostile reputation with the federation. Here's a couple of advices: 1- avoid stations with a high amount of players. 2- wait 20/30 seconds outside the weapons range before docking. 3-pray.... 4-if it happens while you're close to the letterbox, just fly inside it. Trespassing seems to have an higher priority than being hostile(don't ask why) and the 30 secs countdown will start, you'll get fined but at least there's enough time to menu log. I wish i was making this up,i really do but we've seen this bug over 70 times in our group, it happened to me more or less 60 times and peaked at 46 times in 1 week...

    And as any other qualified professional development house, their webpage looks like it was made in 2000 while sombody forgot to add any content about them whatsoever. Like any other development team, there are comments like "Only have the one programmer, has to pick and choose what to work on" about their work in relation to dedicated server enhancements. Just like any other dev team, a youtube Q&A with their lead producer consists of three hours of a static image and their staff answering questions through what sounds micros placed in a bathtub. Even amateur private streamers today sport more professional hardware for that type of stuff. Before you get all defensive on my behind, I'm not dissing them. If every cent they have goes into their development rather than how they represent themselves? I'm all for it. As I said, I'm pretty impressed with what they have achieved since taking over Sturmovik. If I was to try and verify your claim that they have an actual office etc. however, their webpage would...

    I have almost same rig as you i7 2700K @ 4.6 GTX 1080 currently I use this settings the only supersampling is done with my pimax 4k check the resolution in steam VR here

What are the two systems you are referring to? I mean, the one with the ruins and the one without the trees? I would like to update my calculations based on your findings.

    So you enjoy monthly costs? You do realize that it was a unanimous vote by the community to have the cosmetic store instead right? You playing the game costs frontier money. A game purchase only pays for its development. Stop complaining, they could have gone with lootboxes.

    This just a simple illustration to CMDR Slone's point about player-driven storylines. What we have here at the current stage of the game is in devspeak, an SDK with a couple of simple scripts, code snippets and some documented and undocumented API calls instead of a polished product. Pre 2.4 a Distress Call USS would mean jumping into an instance with a couple of NPCs and a wreck or two and a couple of mats and canisters floating around. If you carried any cargo, the NPCs would scan and attack. There was no way to give aid or any means to interact with the victim NPC beyond drawing fire and/or eliminating the pirates. Post 2.4 an improved DCUSS script has been enhanced with a victim NPC broadcasting a repeating SOS message, which can vary from utterly asinine--"help, my passengers ate all the food" - Cobra mk3--to believable scenarios, such as hull/module damage or fuel emergency. Problem here is that there is no way to interact with said NPC, nor does it seem to be aware of your ship's presence. ...

    Heh, yes :) However, if FDev do implement any penalties for those who consistently combat log - even against NPC's - perhaps he'll rethink. I did attempt this, but it didn't appear to sink in. I mean, I almost lost my ship because he didn't want to loose his. Maybe next time he's "Wanted" I'll just claim the bounty - the 200cr will go a long way to making me feel better lol. I think he considers ship death a major loss, when it's really not. I do too, to a degree, but it's more a role-play thing so I pretend there is more of a consequence. As such I take fewer risks and equip myself for the task more appropriately. I've actually only had two deaths in-game, one was a definite bug, the other was suspect, so it does work. Hopefully he'll improve and not feel task-killing the game is his only way out...after all, *I* survived this long without such tactics. I'm not a particularly good pilot, however, I can usually survive long enough to run if I have to. Chaff does really help take the heat...

    I have (just like Algomatic) suggested player-based protection for traders, kind'a like Fuel Rats. It would be great and really make Open interesting, but a bunch of things has to be done to make it work. First, there has to be some way of hiring people, similar to multicrew I guess. Hiring people for a wing. And then an agreed amount being shared (which I think it does already). But most of all, dropping into the interdiction. I haven't tried it in a while, so it might be better, but when we (family members) tried it earlier this year, it was terrible. Didn't work well enough to protect when it mattered. And if the attacker can take out a ship in 10 seconds, there's no time to drop in, pull weapons out, target, turn, etc. It might be better now, but I suspect it's not.

    I would be SO HAPPY if they'd set a reasonable (30 or so) per-material cap, instead of a combined total cap.
