OP..... I've been here. b'tched and moaned about the MAP in VR. Its all part of the IMMMMMMERSION. Really, put all that anger into mapping your HOTAS controls for the MAP screen (if you don't have a HOTAS then you're doing ED wrong).

Yes. When they were making the galaxy they deliberately suppressed certain types of stars in the area around Sol, so that the night sky would look right etc. Unfortunately the scope of that zone of suppression turned out to be... slightly larger than intended. Instead of restricting the area directly around Sol, it ended up as an enormous pair of corridors running the whole length of the galaxy map, centred around x = 0 and y (or z if you're a heathen and use z for the "north south" direction as Frontier do) = 0 coordinates. If you look on one of the "neutron star maps of the galaxy" and similar things you can see a massive bar of emptiness running up the centre of the map (and a less obvious one running "east and west" from Sol). e.g. this from CMDR Orvidius' excellent maps site.

Like you said, this forum is about BGS and not drama. Drama is for general discussion or pvp ;)

Dual cards. Elite hates it. SLI used to work fine, but the game is better on a single card now. Have heard the same about Crossfire.

ALL of the massacre missions are wing missions. But I'm doing them solo (because the amount/payoff ratios are the same as those you'd see for the old single-player massacre missions) and I'm getting credit for the mission kills and collecting my bonds toward the CG. Of course, each combat kill that grants a bond payoff grants credit toward only one of the stacked missions at a time (so I don't usually stack more than two -- just to make sure that when one mission completes my kills begin applying to the next one.

SLI has been broken since many patches ago. I just disabled my second GPU for Elite. Now it runs silky smooth.

I have converted my Cyclops killing Anaconda into a 4x AX Multi Cannon Turret boat for destroying Thargoid Scouts. I have 2 medium and 2 small hardpoints left over. I also have some Corrosive Multi turrets in storage that I could add. Does Corrosive Special effect do anything to Scouts?

Yeah my next social security check an 8gb stick of ddr4 is first on the shopping list. Thanks for the link to the utility, i had wondered about cpu parking and one of the first things i did when i got this computer was to adjust the power settings so that all cores were running on boost all the time. I didnt know if they were parked or what that really meant. The Cpu core parking utility reported 0 cores parked on its install and the cores run at 4.3-4.4 ghz even under very light load. Not exactly the "up to 4.6 as in the marketing material", but im not going to argue over .2 ghz.

I still have to pay 25% on a dirty module to get it cleaned 7A thrusters (51m cred) need 12.8m credits to clean. This is because of a 800 credits bounty. Shame ED is so inconsistent. I likely bought the module for my beluga before the 25% -> 5% change happened.

If you think about the module system vis-a-vis ship mass etc rationally you will go nuts!:D It's a complete mess really when FDev can just 'add' another module 'slot' willy-nilly to a ship whose dimensions are I assume, fixed. I also assume that the modules of varying classes are also fixed in dimensions which are not given to us by the way. Take the Challenger. Look at the rear outboard landing gear. It seems to take up all the space of its housing and yet there is an engine in that same housing! And yet there are thngs called 'thrusters' that have their own single module / housing. Then again we target the 'main drive'! Where's the module for that? Can we target the rear landing gear? Which would also mean targeting the engine if considering the Challenger. It's obvious that FDev does not prioritise rational common sense: they don't have to, most players just play the game and not think about this module system or else if they do they just shrug their shoulders and suspend their critical thinking...

If it's skybox issues and such, I had that problem when I ran dual graphics cards. Even though there is technically a profile for AMD, it sucks.

Oooh its this again? Why you always pick on us consoles? Have you read the minimum PC specification requirements lately? 6Gb. I think you need to start blaming those guys. Congratulations to everyone on the compo, top stuff.

Having said I was going to get a Cutter, though I still will, I ended up buying an Orca last night and fitting it for the raft of economy passenger missions that seem to have come up since allying with everyone at Agricolaís Ascent. My first impressions are that it seems just like a bigger brother to the Dolphin. Iíve G5 clean drives, a G4 Charge Enhanced PD and G4 FSD so it boosts well, runs cool and goes as far as I need for those missions. Perhaps in the future Iíll do more but it fits it current purpose perfectly. The imax screen of a canopy is fantastic so the view is worth the price alone. Iím a little concerned that mine has some faulty wiring, every time I boost the thrusters the seatbelts and no smoking signs come on with a Ďbing.í Looks like Iíll need to get a Sparky out to take a look. With my thing for naming ships after historical figures suited to the ships role Iíve called this ship C.S.V. Thomas Cook - creator of the bargain excursion/day trip. Iíve never wanted a Beluga but...

Masz dwa wskaźniki: REPUTATION i RANK.
