    The problem with demands is that when a passenger demands a specific good, finding the nearest station that actually stocks it can be a pain. Plus the bonus is never worth it. And, honestly, when flying a Beluga - do I not have food and wine on board? I mean... really? I'd rather see the passenger ships be able to fit food synthesizers, booze stations and goods fabricators as modules - they could have 'charges' that are automatically restocked whenever you restock-all (just like a scb or any other module), and the pilot gets a small bonus-payment every-time a passenger uses that amenity. If passengers are complaining it should be because a module/service is empty/expended or doesn't exist. I shouldn't have to break out EDDB every time Jimbo wants a steak meal and then again when Jane wants a venison.

    It's part of the shallowness of NPC interaction. The whole lot needs to be revisited. I have no issue with them doing that but I want to see an in game reason for it, like being followed from the station after I've just dumped a load of mined goods. Or seeing pirates hanging around the rings dropping into wakes.

    If everyone has money then no one cares about money. But those super rich VIPs that want to be transported, they can provide something we want. Tie luxury passengers into engineer materials, giving out those hard to find materials that we need for level 5 mods.

    Apart from the fact that WMR needs W10 Creators (which brings some known problems to gaming) I found it to be less resource-demanding than Vive (And therefore, I guess, also Rift). The basic environment even runs on my ultrabook with Intel integrated graphics and I've played Pirate trainer on it more or less successfully, and when I was showcasing my Dell headset to a friend, we played Elite on his 2GB GTX 960. VR Low settings, of course, with SS x0.75 and HMD x1.0, but it ran. And 970 is MUCH stronger card (the gap between 960 and 970 is definitely bigger than between 1060 and 1070, for example). I wouldn't worry. Elite will run just fine on 970 with WMR. To me, aside from its child diseases (drivers still in beta, but hey, so is occulus), WMR is far superior headset for gaming. The only real problem with the headsets is that if you have IPD bigger than 67, you only have the Samsung to "choose from" :D I am very lucky that my eyes are narrower (IPD 65) so I was able to go for the Dell and save a hundred...

    UPDATE Initially I drove away from the base at 90 deg, then back at 270. I just drove 9.5 km away from the base at 300 deg, a POI finally spawned along with a Bronzite Chondrite. Even though I finally got a POI it really seems like something's wrong. That is, it seems like I should have run into more than one POI and one rock I can interact with after 41 km.

    1. Все железо в PS4 2013 года выпуска ( со всем вытекающим ) и имеет всего 8г рама которая используется и на видео и как оператива. ( там для сравнения раздел - Relative Performance ) 2. Я пробывал играть на гейм-паде от х360 на ПК в принципе все удобно но не могу в маневровом бою быстро валить соперников с фиксов :( Так что поменял его на клаву-мышь, а вообще на другом комп. играю на джойстике и по мне так это самое удобное управление. ( предпочитаю корабли с тангажем а не с рыском ) 3. Случайные люди в ЕД играть долго не смогут, Тут в основном фанаты, и средний возраст игроков лет за 30.

    I don't see it listed in the PC/Mac Bug Reports of Known Issues So it's worth submitting a bug report about this, in case it has slipped through the cracks somewhere .... or has come back !

    As soon as they start to whine, I simply abandon their mission, (ungrateful b#$$%$#*s). Shuts them up rather quickly. I wish we as captains could eject the passenger compartments ourselves, instead of forcing the passengers to do it.

    These barriers could also be in place to deliberately foster community discussion, crowdsourcing of information, and community building. These are the things that give your game longer legs, after all. Content is consumed, new ships/things become old, everything gets seen and done, people come and go, but the wider community is what keeps the heart beating, so to speak. Regarding Darnielle's Progress - I imagine somebody landed there, noticed them, and was kind enough to share that information. The same has been true for, well, pretty much everything important in the game that has been discovered thus far. A lot of people seem to think that Frontier is doing this wrong by not having neon signs showing the way (deliberate exaggeration to make a point), but I would counter that Frontier is doing it right by continuing to put the ball in the community's court, and letting us take it as far as we can. On to other things: Third-party sites get built because...people want to build them. It isn't...

    I used to do that, but the KWS, if I remember correctly, is quite power hungry. Also, I have better use of the slot it would occupy, use a shield booster instead. Makes a big difference in shield strength.

    I've suggested this before... but rather than giving the passenger ships a "special" cabin-type, passenger ships should get a set % bonus payout at the journey's end (presumably to represent the income from other on-board amenities). Obviously, given the stacking of economy missions the % boost could be an issue... so make the percentage boost be based on the economic level of the passengers. For economy missions the bonus might be just 5% - presumably the budget-minded traveler isn't splashing out on in-flight movies or fancy food. But crank up the bonus for business class and higher, with bonuses ranging from 30-50%. Those business-class and VIP passengers are far more likely to splash out.

    Betas are besides being a way to check all the new stuff and reduce the serious bug count are a great way to try out existing stuff. Often many of the permits restrictions are removed and full engineering access is available some times ship and module costs are reduced it depends a little on what needs testing, there have been beta specific CGs and missions where participation can earn you a logo to display on your ship in the main game after the beta is over.

    It seems that Oliver (kfsone), bernd (gazelle), and Dave (maddavo) have all moved on to bigger and better things, and G-d bless them for it! Is there anyone who uses Trade Dangerous who would be able to figure out how the imports work (perhaps based on the edapi plugin) and who could engineer a way for us to use the master EDDB database (which is constantly being updated by those of us running EDMC or EDDiscovery and the like) instead of maddavo's database? As EDDB is updated in realtime, it's more accurate than maddavo, I reckon, but they may want us (or whomever) to cretae a semi-static databse which only pulls maybe once an hour so as to minimize traffic. I don't know :) Perhaps there is a charitable soul in EDDB or EDSM etc who would be willing to help us out? Is there a developers forum on this or another related database which at which we can ask?
