    I tried one of these last night in my 2.4 engineered corvette. Ended up fighting a corvette, 2 fdl a vulture and 2 viper3s. Hardest fight I've ever had in the game, I burned through all 4 charges on my size 7 scb, but just kept my shields up. I'm not the greatest pilot, and probably had the wrong kill order - corvette, then 2x fdl then vulture ext. Still it was the.most fun I've had in a long time. I don't know if I'm good enough to do it in a lesser ship though. Perhaps if I put a 5a shield on my FDL rather than no weaves? What kill order should I have used do you think?

    Personally I think they are weighted perfectly. Think of it like this... Outstanding pilot with excellent outfitting... Small ship - EXTREMELY challenging Medium Ship - Challenging Corvette/Cutter - Normal. Average pilot with good engineering

    in regard to the posts which suggest we already have instant unrealistic "stuff" in the game, yes we do but they're not open to any possible exploitation, instant cargo transfer, instant fuel, paint, etc are there for time-saving reasons. Imagine the uproar and 'salt' that would be generated with complaints about FDev don't appreciate my playing time, etc. a little while back there was a massive divide over ship transfers, FDev originally planned to make it instant with the lore of 3D printing your ship. It was so divided they had to put it to a player vote and well, you know how that went. If the majority of people didn't like the instant ship transfer ideology, I'd make an assumption they wouldn't want instant people transfers either. I personally wouldn't want this implemented, the things in the game that are instant are to save our playing time and if something could be exploited, it will be, human nature after all. EDIT: im a slow writer :(

    At the moment I'm thinking G5 D class FSD, 2x resistant E boosters and one A HD. 4t fuel obv., chaff. Lightweight screening frags could be very nice. At least one rail. If possible keep a C3 pp, but that look dubious. Imo a 650 boost speed would be still very good. At least one lightweight HRP look like a sane idea given the poor hull. Really looking forward to this ;p

    Question about defensive measures against Thargoids. Running my T10 Salvage ship in Irandan trying to snatch escape pods from under the noses of the ‘Goids with mixed results. Heatsinks and/or Chaff: Any good going “cold” against the aliens? Chaff? Swarm: Flak modules (not that I have any experience with them) is good when you are facing the enemy. To prevent Swarm attacks while running away does a PD help? ECM: ?

    Honestly ... The Last Jedi was my favorite film of the franchise since seeing the original in the theater back in '77. To be fair though I'm one of those people who doesn't consider Empire to have been the best of the original trilogy ... I'm also not wedded to the franchise so it doesn't bother me if something in the story didn't line up 100% with some fan expectation from an Expanded Universe story that I never read. I was entertained. I'm a Star Trek fan not a Star Wars fan. I watch Star Wars just to be entertained and don't dig any deeper into it than that. Now ... if you want to talk about how J. J. Abrams ruined MY favorite franchise? Yeah. I got a lot of grief about the new Trek movies ... and Discovery.

    I've been thinking of a way to improve USS's gameplay. If any of you remember the game subwar 2050 it had fighter subs that behaved more or less like airplanes under water and you could see your surroundings. Now in that game and I believe that was one part of the game that was a bit realistic you had different thermic sones in the water or layers. I believe temperature and salt level played a part here. Anyways, the way you discovered other subs was that of sonar, which also alert anyone of your presence when you ping the sonar, but the soundwaves are not able to penetrate a different thermic layer from the one you are in (or is it that the signal will be scrambled and the sonar can't resolve the signal?). That meant you could play hide and seek and also mask yourself by moving up or down through the thermal layers. Now, if we don't think thermal layers, but frequencies/wavelengths (it looks like supercruise turns you into a bright thing of energy) this could be transfered to supercruise. Lets say you...

    Yes Beryllium is more profitable, 1 jump stations with 100K tons available, I am also doing 5K5 CR / tons with beryllium, then at the CG station, I buy Bauxite and haul it back for 500 CR / tons, doing a 6K cr / ton loop in average (4m5 - 5M CR with one loop, 720 tons cutter). Palladium could be more profitable only if we had real stock available (and close !), which isn't.

    Enroute back to the Pleiades after doing some long range cargo runs to the bubble. Decided to stock up on 704 tones of Basic medicines and stop at the damaged station enroute home. The profit per tonne seems to have been reduced from 6000cr/t to 4000cr/t Has anyone else noticed this reduction?

    Indeed, I argued very strongly for delayed ship transfer on the grounds that flying ships from A to B is the basic premise of the game, and in general I don't believe that anything in the game should move faster than a player can move a ship. However, flying from A to Z to B just because I want to change my gameplay style for a session is extremely limiting. My gameplay session is often over by the time I've done that. Had the ability to start a session in any ship you own existed, I believe that whole discussion about ship transfer would have been much less heated.
