The never ending mission bugs are a disgrace IMHO.

I have been meaning to do a video on this subject.... Resistances can be very misleading, and going for a high resistance build is not always the best option. For ships that have a very high shield multiplier (FDL, Corvette, Cutter) Then I found having resistances around 35-45% is good enough and then focus on raw MJ.. Bi-weaves run a little different, and I am still experimenting, but it seems resistances and faster rates of charge (engineering) are the way to go... Try and get your resistances over 50% if you can. SCB's will often dictate just how effective your build can be, learning to double tap 2 SCB's per heatsink drop is a skill that is worth learning.

Two reasons: 1. I don't want to mess with the daily EDDB dump file, because if anything screws up with the exported listings, we still have that to fall back on. Losing the data since the last daily dump is better than losing everything. 2. Appending to a file means-- without doing a lot of very slow processing, anyway-- having the same station appear multiple times in the file, making the file grow horribly. If there's an update to Shinrarta Dezhra at 0200, 0330, 0414, 0508, 0945, etc. each of those updates would show up in the file. So just for one station, the file has already grown to 6 times as big as it needs to be because the old updates are still there in the file. This wouldn't really slow down the listener very much, but it would cause a lot more stress on the server because of all the file writing, and it would significantly slow down client imports. The only way to fix that would be to completely load the listings file into the program (causing an upswing in memory usage), search...

I have been doing things for my faction for a few days, and although I love the other players I cannot stand the system, and although the missions are paying much better now I just cannot get into it. Last night I fought for over two hours at a res site with another member. Probably more than 2 hours. I killed two elite ships and saw zero deadly ships, I did not even go up one % in combat, although I made some credits. But I like killing elites and deadlies one after another at a CNB. The faction/group is ok, but it holds me back in rank progression and earning credits.

They could be named after Owls, the hunters of the night. Obviously, the ships would be focused on silent running, making them shieldless hull tanks that are cold. There could be a small, a medium and a large version. Discuss!

Apparently going through the waiting loop was causing the problem. The checks it makes inside the waiting loop get done every time it goes through, and since there when waiting, it would immediately go back to the start of the loop, those checks would get done several times a second-- maybe even several hundred times. That adds up quickly, so the loop was actually slowing down everything else because it was eating up allocated CPU/Mem space. Adding a simple line to make the waiting loop wait 1 second before jumping back to the top of loop fixes all that, as you can see in the latest commit log.

Pease note that this continues to happen with the most recent PS4 patch. On Each and Every Planet. The only requirement is that I spend somewhere upwards of two hours driving around in the SRV. I’m not sure why this is still in the Requires More Information area. I’ve given you a recipe to consistently reproduce the problem, and I’ve also uploaded crash logs and video to PSN each time (I presume these eventually get routed to you, as the developer).

There is still no game and the reason there is still no game is that they don't need one. I'd put a Pete Cooke or Geoff Crammond speccy game up against that PU rubbish any day of the week as a lesson in how to do it.

CIG can invent as many "backer levels" as they want, and people will continue to give them cash so they feel "special" and "Genuine Roberts noticed me!" Still doesn't change the fact that there is still no game, and what there is, is outdone by ZX Spectrum games.

that boost was probably a legacy random secondary effect (don't remember exactly), but if you converted the mod it's gone. the boost in cmdrrdmc's build comes from the 'super capacitors' special effect.

That's where my thinking was in 2016 but there is a bit more going on. There is a hierarchy of backer-dom that is more fleshed out and explicit than the usual 'rewards for spend'. Part of it is 'getting close' to the developers, which can be a skype interview on your youtube channel, or a physical studio visit where there are two builds that only a chosen few have seen. The marketing language reflects this hierarchical structure, 'concierge', 'grand admiral', 'land owner' etc, and that sets up a system whereby the symbols of status are purchased for real money via a virtual store. As long as the virtual world in which the symbolic items representing one's status appears real or in progress those symbolic items command a real $ value.

Thanks again. I really need to Engineer mine...or do away with them all together once I get shield engineering right lol. Oh, and find out what's going on with my missing 20%+ boost. Scoob.

Copy Paste, isn't that the modern definition of productivity, copy paste has been embraced as a legitimate form of creativity and heaven forbid anyone utters the words, "unimaginative Plagiarist". Imperial Slaves, why not refer to them as what they are, Indentured labourers/Servants.

landable planets and missions taking you to them. you need the 'horizons' expansion for that. my advice, you are enjoying your best time in the game. just go try stuff out your way and explore the possibilities, but do it in small ships, and never fly without rebuy. the rest will come, enjoy and don't haste!

Update Experiencing a weird anomaly. I think the population level of Apatosaurs and Camarasaurs increased by one or their tolerance level mysteriously decreased by 1 because all their comfort levels are plummeting. For a bit of context, I didn't open my park until all the paddocks were populated. Maybe the presence of the gyrosphere counts as 1 population?

So will a 7A actually, according to ED shipyard. I can just vouch for the 7B personally since I tried it. ED shipyard has a nice section for thermal (THM) that will show you your ship's heat after certain activities like thrusters, engaging FSD, or firing an SCB.
