There are many games on my $200 PS4 Slim that look better than ED on a $2000 gaming rig, so I just have to laugh at the "superior" PCMR And then there's the VRMR, but I'm straying off-topic.

If you're not shooting at sitting ducks or beating seals, fair play to you. That's the way it should be.

Colleges really need to to start teaching kids not to release software without testing it first and running it through Quality Assurance. Fixed that for you :)

Is that anti-cheating pass just as effective as your anti combat logging measure? I doubt that Frontier understands the frustration of the player base when it comes to bugs bugs bugs and performance issues with the game. There have been multiple scenario's where it became blatantly obvious that the current QA and development staff simply can't handle the sheer and overwhelming amount of bug reports. Do I need to remember you Frontier of the shameful PS4 launch of the update? Players not even able to play the game due to crashes. It was too much to ask for to properly test console upgrades seeing how no beta access was provided for console players. Yet, here you are possibly taking actions against players who use this bug to their advantage. Tell me Frontier, how can we, the players, take action against your company's incompetence? Oh that's right, we can't. Because you don't care.

if this is doing this in VR, re-calibrate your tracking cameras. a 2mm difference will cause it to spaz out, something sounds like it got bumped or a cord got yanked so rotation is off

Jealous? should all noobs be banned from void opals until having worked in the mail room for 6 months? Op took the rebuy on the chin and is seeking guidance to learn from the mistake, great attitude to have, its not as if ED specifically tells you what will happen if you keep Silent Running on in game.

I think this would end up in the exact opposite way you'd want trade - or indeed any BGS transaction - to work. Take a simplified version of it: Station A sells Food for 900 credits and buys Machinery for 1100 credits Station B sells Machinery for 900 credits and buys Food for 1100 credits. A trader flies between stations A and B making the obvious trades. This *should* be to the benefit of both stations - the factory workers get fed, and the farmers get their space-tractors. But what actually happens is that both stations lose 200 credits per tonne and eventually go bankrupt.

"I don't get what the pics guru is showing mean? What is he trying to say with them?" He is trying to say that he is frustrated that he didnt found anything and he has to create fairy tales about Raxxla.

But in most cases, NPCs would not be targetting those players, as they do most of the time not carry any cargo, and are clean. If they loaded their ship with cargo racks and started to run cargo mission, then they would most likely get a one way ticket to the rebuy screen. NPCs do not target player just because it is players, but players hunting other player, are in many cases, just after players, so they wait for that hollow square to show, and then they proceed to interact with that player. There is most of the time no gameplay behind that, other than, I can shoot another player. For this reason, removing the hollow squares would make sense, but that is not a workable solution, as just by looking at how ships is navigated in super cruise would etc, would give away most players and now the victims would be at an even bigger disadvantage as they will not know if they are being interdicted by a player or NPC.

pikman80, this is probably the best advice on here. Two big important things though which I wish I knew before I started out: There's an option on the galaxy map which by default is "plot most economical route", that needs to be changed to "plot fastest route" otherwise it'll plot you poxy little jumps to save you fuel and take you a hundred years to get to Sag. A*. Filter your map to only include star classes O, B, A, F, G, K and M stars as these are the only ones you can scoop fuel from. That way you won't get caught out without fuel anywhere on the trip. Add "non-sequence stars" if you want to see and use the useful neutron stars and their boost. The 5A increased range + Mass manager Frame Shift Drive is an enormous boon to long distance travel, and one of the criteria for unlocking Elvira Martuuk who can engineer it for you is travelling outside the starting bubble of inhabited systems. Doing a shorter test punt (say 2k ly) in any direction away from your base will help you know what kind of...

Hmmm, I am trying to work out whether I feel that no one is going to have a go at the Regulation class, or if I need to delay getting new discoveries in the Codex to have another run tonight. It's a real dilemma, as I'm set to add another 5 discoveries to my 60+ tonight (assuming no one else has beat me to it...). Oooooh... Midnight tomorrow you say... Well that's that decided then, cheers Alec ;)

ehm... anyway, since you have the Distant Worlds 2 Avatar, you should mine Indite, Gallite, Cobalt and Praseodymium to contribute to the Core Station Community Goal, not Opals
