This. There is nothing complicated about it, so is it just that people are for some reason trying to find new unique keys/buttons or something?

So, an expansion faction enters a system, gets into a war with a local faction, the local faction is losing, yet on the local news (galnet panel) the local faction reports the following: Current happiness : Happy I suspect not. And, while writing, why doesn't that local news feed even mention the war? Pre 3.3 it did. Either against the factions' names, or an extra piece of local news "steer clear of starport, war's broken out, which way will it end?"

Disagreed. I already stated that the USA does not have any official language, at least on the federal level. English technically is just lingua franca of the entire United States and only half of the states actually recognize English as state language. But the USA as a whole? Absolutely not. Other than that, the USA barely has 300 million people. Commonwealth of Nations, which treat Elizabeth II as their head of the state, is over 2.3 billion.

As you say. I think it wasn't just the post, but the impeccable timing of it. Just as the latest round of server errors were giving people more time to reflect on the reality that is forum life; and then this thread. Some might call it art. Probably just dumb luck though.

I would imagine your experiences with your Oculus Rift will be different to Jaylem's. His problems of recentering his Steam games will depend on those games themselves. The problem with the headphones is a design flaw. For reasons of aesthetics over practicality they decided to use a mechanical slider to connect the headphones. As your headset ages this connection deteriorates. I didn't have any problems with warranty. I replaced one headset because of this flaw, but because the flaw is due to poor design my new headset went the same way. I never asked Facebook to replace my latest headset because I didn't want to have my headset continuously in the post instead of on my head. I'm just using my own headphones over the top on my headset, which is a bit of a pain because one of the reasons I bought it was for the integrated sound system. I'm glad this problem hasn't cropped up with you, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that your headset doesn't go the same way as the two of mine did.

Morbad replied to a thread Mamba Mamba !!! MAMBA !!!! in Ships
The more time I spend with the current Mamba the more convinced I am that it's even more sluggish than the Beta 4 version, but I may just be conflating the original Beta 3 incarnation's ability to boost at will with other aspects of maneuverability...memory can be a tricky thing. Very curious to see what they actually end up changing when the improvements go live. Conservatively, I'd expect Frontier to restore the speed to the Beta 3 version and slightly reduce boost drain (but not to beta 3 levels). Ideally, I'd like to see nothing but a moderate speed increase to keep the ship distinct, but I wouldn't complain about an all-round agility improvement, as long as it doesn't turn into an FDL clone. What I don't think they'll do is change any of the module counts or sizes.

Maybe after four years the mods can spot the serial whingers/trolls and have most of it on auto-delete.

The real issue based on my experience and seeing others is this: 1. It's a regression of technology. Game is set at a point where we punch holes in reality to hyperspace jump to other star systems, sometimes over 200ly away thanks to using Neutron boost (and not dying to neutron radiation from said ejection cone and magnetic fields), but now has to use a 2d overlay mini-game to figure out the planets instead of instantly knowing the rough type (waterworld, earthlike, icybody, etc) as per old ADS, back to using technology that's present in real life right now and not 1300 years in the future. We also can do rudimentary reverse engineering of vastly superior alien species (guardian and thargoid) but can't make a proper sensor anymore. 2. It's only faster if you were the rare "completionist" type who HAS to scan EVERY SINGLE THING in EVERY SINGLE SYSTEM. If you were like the majority of previous "True" explorers (aka everyone who left the bubble for the black, Sag A*, beagle point, Formadine Rift, etc)...

There seems to be some lingering issue rendering POIs (not just in planets, in space as well). Sometimes you drop in and there's nothing in there. And sometimes there is a different kind POI than the one that was reported on the Codex.

Nerix replied to a thread [ED64 - 3.3 Horizons] Rumours missing from Codex? in PC Bug Reports
Yes of course, that's the whole concept I think (lead the community to something new with clues). As soon as a comdr discovers something it gets the status reported for everyone else (for the first discoverer directly confirmed, as he discovered it). But perhaps a player has to scan/discover something to get a rumour about something else started? Who knows...

You can get them the same as before, just by honking. There is no requirement to use the FSS for USS detection. It's just much faster to use the FSS than the Nav Panel in most cases.

I find myself having somewhat philosophical thoughts concering the game. Would that be a place here to discuss such? For example, AI being the next - inevitable - frontier, no pun intended, what are your thoughts on AI driven governments? How could we implement safe guards, such as a kill switch in case something goes awkward. I seem to remember that not long ago they switched off an AI because of unforeseen activities.

Taken on its own I'd have rated the OP's troll about five, maybe six, out of ten. I mean it's good, but a bit obvious. But after thirty-plus pages of debate - including this post of mine - I can't deny in terms of effectiveness it is one of the best I've ever seen. Well played, OP.

Would you mind suggesting what you think those are? I've been having a break for the last 6 months or so and I'd like to set up and play with the new stuff with as little pain as possible :-) I've installed the update but haven't fired it up yet.
