    Did the same thing. What I did was change blueprint and generate one time then go back to what I want and start over. The first 3 are usually the cheap stuff anyway. The last 2 are the rarer mats. Now if he has something else you want to do with him, that will unlock it to.

    I'm against the idea of easy-mode exploration - even if it does encourage more players to use it. It's the equivalent of letting people buy a battleship to park in a Res and farm NPCs - yes, it'll get more players doing combat, but it doesn't improve the game in any way. Regarding the 'three ships only' condundrum: Everyone will take a DBX/AspX for range, a Kra2t for the SLF and still have room for another ship. Not exactly a drawback.

    Almost everything can be quantified, but as I mentioned above, there are many relevant stats that seem to be habitually omitted in comparisons, if not entirely unknown by those making the comparison. The weight that should be placed on those quanta is more subjective, however. I don't like the Anaconda as an explorer because of it's rotation rate in SC, which is horrible, and the difficulty in finding convenient places to land the ship on planet surfaces. Those considerations easily trump jump range for me when I'm actually exploring, rather than doing a long distance race or attempting to pin my name where it's difficult/impossible to reach with other vessels.

    On the Elite dangerous Home Page... 'SCROLL - Down' to the bottom , where there is the rating from numerous computer magazines.. the back ground picture has a space station .. to the Bottom -LEFT of the station is a Ship ??? WHAT is this Ship? with engines that big!... IF IT IS NOT in the game... Put it in the game... it looks mean and nasty!

    No good paint jobs still. Even Chieftain at least has a "Pulse" paint job to add "Glow" to the ship. I'm guessing something like that or Black Friday will be the best ship paintjobs when they eventually roll around. Or hell, even a chrome / gold one.

    Keep in mind that Fleet Carriers are apparently tied to the Squadron mechanic but a Squadron can be just one individual. I agree in so far as to saying FD would be best advised NOT to say "only squadrons of a given minimum size can have them".

    LOL :D Serious traders will recommend the Cutter, serious BH:ers will recommend the Corvette. But both those are locked behind different ranks. The Anaconda is a nice ship, for sure, but far from the best ship at any given role, except Exploration, depending on if you are in VR or not. Even if the Anaconda is better than the ASPX or DBX in jumprange, most people who play in VR goes for ASPX or DBX, because they tend to have a much better field of vision, compared to an Anaconda. So... it is very hard to say that a ship is "better", just based on stats.

    We had a topic about the Anaconda a few months ago and actually came up with a possible solution (but will result in more power creep). Namely, add an Engineer which can modify Hull Mass. THEN give ALL current Anacondas a built-in G5 Lightweight mod.

    LoLSigh. I do this every time: Don't play for months. See a trade CG that piques my interest. Hop in, sign up, do a few runs in the Python. Collect my 2-3 million payout. Then, sign up for the Combat CG. Run over there, kill a few things and of course Pull Everything and die. Lose those combat bonds, and the rebuy on the ship eats up the previous CG payout. *facepalms self*

    The idea is for exploration but on it's own the Transporter would be limited. Remember I said it would come stock standard with very little leeway for modification. Ideally, it would come with an ADS so the player would get an idea whether the system would be worth surveying or not. But to do the surveying they would need to use the small ships (no DSS on the transporter). As you have said, there is little or no risk at the moment, so having this concept wouldn't change that. But it might encourage Commanders to get out of the bubble for the first time in their lives and see the galaxy. Guess the drawback is firstly affording the Transporter then agonising over which three medium/small ships you would take :D Now for your second question: what happens if things go pear shaped. Magic, just good old fashioned FD magic - that is all that is needed.
