    It only makes sense in the matchbox miniatures kind of way, where you can open a door on your tiny toy car. Because what sense makes a stairlift you cannot use? Will you roleplay your commander being present on it? Or perhaps they will add holo me animation walking from and to it? No, that makes no sense, unless the ships have been looked upon by 3d artists again for some reason. Which reason might or might not be connected to space legs, it could be a model bug fixing pass. Or someone saw an ommission with that stairlift missing (I still think it's a cleverly clipped prop unless I check it in the game lol :) and just added it. IDK. I learned not to get hopes up.

    Well... piracy will rather disappear with such method. I mean, as I fly a paper-shield full frag Clipper my piracy-style is 75% based on a weapons show-off ("my gunz are bigger than yourz") . What kind of threat may I show if damage is close to zero? Hatch-breakers are an option, ok... as well as all the other nice toolz I can load on my boat (FSD disruptors, etc) but at the end of the day I am there for the cargo not to engage in PvP... and if a bounty hunter is after me, I run.

Up till now I have been using the Xbox controller, and I ran out of buttons big time when the 3.3 upgrade dropped. What’s the big deal? Although the standard controller is great, some find flying by thumb less than completely intuitive—if that describes you, this HOTAS is worth considering. I found the SRV was (almost) a pleasure using the T.Flight, having struggled to enjoy it using the Xbox controller. Another huge advantage is that the T.Flight brings several extra buttons to the party, and while more would have been even better, there are enough to play the current version of the game with ease.     These "cubes" are caused, as far as we can tell, by the Stellar Forge filling up a "class d" octree with B-class stars, while the neighbouring octrees get relatively few class . Class B stars are visible from a thousand LYs away, so the "cubes" tend to stand out quite starkly, from quite some distance away. Class d octrees are 128 LY long on each side; if you find the cube on the actual starmap (it's usually not that hard to di in Realistic mode), you should find that it's a cube of B-class stars 128 LYs on each side, all with ID code-names that follow the same pattern: {sector name} {three-letter octree ID} d{star-number}; the sector name and octree-ID should be the same for all the B-class stars in the cube. And no, there's no easy "fix" for it. They could make B-class stars invisible when you get up close to them, but this would play havoc with the "realistic" skybox as seen from Earth.     There's absolutely no truth in that statement whatsoever. I play in open, and the gankers haven't ruined it for me. Speak for yourself, buddy. On your other point, I actually don't care what mode people want to play in. That's never been an issue for me. As a matter of fact, solo and PG were made SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS REASON, as a mode for people who don't want to get ganked by other players to go to. Your other point, that you're not going to forego your jump range or cargo, that's a choice that you, and you alone, make. That is YOUR CHOICE. It's not the game making you make that choice, or other players, it's you. So it's a non-point against engineering. One of the beautiful things about this game is that you actually have that choice, and the consequences are dynamic, rather than scripted. You also get the choice between open and solo. What you DON'T get to do is pass the buck. If someone blows you up because you chose to make your ship an easy target, and you chose to play in open with that ship,...

While this would generate a lot more interest during the 3 days I strongly suspect it wouldn't have a high rate of player retention i.e ppl actually purchasing it Something like this works well for a pick up and play title like Overwatch, less so for something as immersive as Elite that requires a very high level of investment in terms of player time
