It's been over three days since I last had a neutron star pop up on my route. Currently working north in the Formidine Rift and I'm sure there are neutrons about but as you say, the planner is ignoring them.

Exactly, my dude. Exactly. ESO is in great shape right now. The amount of players you see is testament to this. It's almost impossible to not see another player, unless you are in a solo dungeon. To be honest it's taken over Elite as my favourite game.

It gets better. Everyday you get thirty pies to throw at other players, for free. Just complete the three daily Jester quests, which are very easy, because it's just a bit of fun. I'm going to be throwing pies at players all year, and I also picked up an unlimited use mudball to throw at players from a GT. I aim to become a famous jester.

What the hell, can you guys do anything right? EE was automated, how could you screw this up? Furthermore, do you have ANYONE at Fdev who's job is to fix bugs in elite? If you do, please tell me what they have fixed since 3.3 because as far as any player can tell they are collecting a salary for nothing.

If I just heard that on the radio I wouldn't think it out of place, seriously impressive. If I worked at Frontier I'd be getting a hold of whoever would be in charge in doing something special with this.

I'm interested to hear about people's experience with Goliath's Rest. There was a bit of disgruntledness when it was announced. For those of you that have attempted the journey, how do you feel about it? Was it worth it, was the journey fun, are u happy u tried jumponium or Neutron Boosting for the first time? Is the view good from the top?

My issue isn't with the riftS. I think it is a product far more likely to help vr take off than the pimax or vive pro. By keeping min specs the same , making it easier to set up and more practical to use this is all good stuff and is more important to vr than a hmd which costs £1000 or more and needs a 1080ti. For the market it aims for the only worry I have for it is the price. Let's assume £399 I think it is a bit pricy. I predict 349 or 299 for Xmas. Those who say it's the same as windows MR I politely say you are wrong (this is the popular opinion on another forum I frequent) It has the oculus infrastructure behind it, and soon will have ASW2. Oculus had ASW for years before anyone else got it and that is being kind and assuming the others are as good as ASW... And it has five tracking cameras and high quality passthrough But no. The RiftS I think is great news for VR. What dissapointed me tho is that there is no higher end equivalent. Am not talking about pimax 5k levels of FOV but given...

There was a thread a while ago about "littlesaurs" that would work, and there were a lot of good suggestions, Hypsilophodon being one of them. The thing is, regarding Compsognathus, it's simply too small. The Troodon was put in as a compromise, having the same sounds and the venomous bite while being large enough to still be easily visible and be the smallest dinosaur in the game. Any other small dinosaur would need to be around its size or larger.

In terms of compact and fairly reliable hardware, you could get worse. You need to be aware of their service concept though, chances are that you won't get conveniences like firmware updates after a year or two, so if there's a gremlin in whatever you're using when the bell tolls, you're either paying or SOL. It's also very pedestrian "almost server" hardware (Excavator-era Opteron CPUs, not even using ECC RAM). The big question is what you want to run on it and use it for. If you want another NAS that just sits there and stores and distributes data, give the SOHO models of Synology a look, their software is alright, and they have real CPUs (not that bargain bin ARM or Atom crap most consumer units are using and that chokes on anything requiring network or disk throughput) with enough RAM for most things if you go for an 8GB model. I have a tiny Linux VM with a Plex server on mine and that even transcodes video fine for a single user. If you want something to run your own stuff on FreeNAS on, or need more...

Err... No I disagree, if the is allowed, of course. My ship is the best I can afford and fitted the way I play or what I am doing in the game. The Mode, makes no difference to me. Re-buys are the only consideration, when it comes to the mode I play. Nothing else. Now naturally, you would have an issue with that. To make it plain. I cannot predict, who or what I will come up against. It is a totally random thing. I cannot foretell what weapons types I will need etc. etc. I do not know if the next player trying to kill me, is an Ace in a viper, or a noob grinder in a Cutter. Therefore I cannot prepare for a fight. The only thing that I can predict is. I am going to die. Be it in open, solo or wherever. Death is the only guarantee in this game. When I meet someone or something else in this game, I then act accordingly. My open play is not dictated by what ship I can fly, it is dictated by what ship I can 'afford' fly.

The Pleiades and surrounding area are full of Thargoids. They've been there as long as I've been visiting but a few weeks ago they seemed to be getting a little more violent. I was trying to return to Artemis Lodge and turn in some missions only to be interdicted for my first time. After they scanned me and took off I proceeded to Artemis in the aftermath of a Thargoid attack (last I looked it's still under repair), I helped with the evacuation and before leaving the area noticed 1-2 other stations had been attacked that same morning.

That bit where the Alien starts to tickle him to make him fall just ends me every time. Some will think the Alien is being especially callous to Pinback there but really it was payback because Pinback was cruel to it. He even kicks it in that scene, no wonder it was mad! :o
