QA-Jack replied to a thread [ED64 - 3.0.5 Horizons] Mouse jumping everywhere in menus in PC & Mac Bug Reports
Hey SophiaNOTLoren, Thanks for your report - This looks like it's some external software affecting your mouse input. Can you please confirm if you are running any other software whilst playing Elite. Can you also provide me with a DxDiag, to run a DxDiag report follow the steps below: - If you are running Windows 7 or higher, go to your TaskBar. - Click on, "Start Button". - Click on, "Run". - In the pop-up window enter DxDiag and hit ok. - The DirectX Diagnostic Tool pop-up window should appear. - Click on, "Save all information".

Indeed. I've got excellent internet, but there have been countless times where I've been perpendicular, above, and behind an enemy (looking directly down at a corvette's bridge for instance), and been getting nailed by their gimbals. It doesn't take much for problems to start getting visible, and the crazy 40%+ increase in speed from the engineers has make these issue all the more obvious.

QA-Jack replied to a thread [ED64 - 3.0.5 Horizons] Mission Board Servers Connection is Broken in PC & Mac Bug Reports
Hey A. Watson, Thanks for your report - We did experience some server turbulence yesterday which may of caused this issue for you. If the issue is still present for you, please can you ensure that you have added Elite Dangerous to your anti-virus/firewalls' exceptions/white list as this can sometimes cause issues with Mission board loading. If the issue still persists after this, please contact our Customer support who will be able to assist with further network troubleshooting. Fly safe out there Cmdr! o7

So we agree the new system is worse? Flying to next IF require more time than flying to the next dockable station. Which is? I mean for the average player, not the minority that chooses a criminal career.

Having some idea where you are, what’s around you and what your ship is capable of makes a big difference. And no; the only preparation for Open is learning how to handle yourself in Open. The dishonesty in the OP was the conclusion he drew from a very flawed experiment. To suggest that getting ganked while in an unengineered and juicy target in a pvp hot zone (which founders is one of) is enough evidence to conclude that Open is all a gank fest is ludicrous.

End of day #4 scoreboard update. Well, I must say I'm absolutely flippin' delighted to see so many folks enjoying themselves out there, the turnout for this has been fantastic so far! So, day #4 results from the bottom upwards. In 16th position (and NOT last he'll be glad to see) we have a new entry from Cmdr Stern Winter taking his "Snowmobile" down the mountain in 19m 50s.

AMFU and Repair Limpets - Pointless, you may at some point use them, but you will never need them Fuel Scoop - Wouldnt bother for my day to day build. Pop one in if you want to travel a long distance then swap it out again. 7A PP - You really need all that ? My similar swiss army Python runs happily on a 6A. Take a Collector Limpet Controller and a Wake Scanner for collecting engineer bits.

This would do absolutely nothing to encourage me to play in Open. What Open needs is a way to opt in, or opt out of consensual PvP. I don't want to be attacked by idiots without any reason whatsoever, and that's it. Even if I'm well defended or not, I just do not want to engage in PvP. No amount of crime & punishment rules would change this. All we would need is the option to flag ourselves for PvP or not. If PvP is completely free and open to everyone everywhere then I don't care if I'm a legitimate target for someone or not, I don't want it. That said, defining a legitimate target is hard in the first place. I don't care about other players' factions or what they do and where, who they've pledged alliance to. I mind my own business and let others do so. If someone wants to roleplay and fight others, fine, do it. But I intend to steer clear of it - that's why I won't really play much in Open ever, or until Frontier implements an opt-in/opt-out function. (Which arguably is Solo and Private Group mode, to a...

this is why I choose not to play in Open. Ah, I see. Kind of like the Privateers that fought for Queen Elizabeth I?
