So much for seeking guidance from the BBB for improving their refunds process.

Wall of text alert! Powerplay is all about people (us) who support a leader who appeals to our sense of moral (im)purity and values (or lack of them!). We support them outside of the law, in essence we are paramilitary groups fighting over who is 'right'. Powerplay is always seen as an illogical layer over the top of players > factions / PMFs / superpowers- it makes no sense. This idea removes us from this illogical premise. Currently Powerplay is also redundant because what does it offer above BGS manipulation? Nothing. Its not a unique experience. What is Powerplay v.2 about? Power. Dominance. It is not about governing because we have superpowers (Alliance, Feds and Imps) overseeing local factions for that. Powerplay has become a staid construct because of human nature and design- everything seeks equilibrium and due to Powerplay not having a 'fail' state (collapse). It has gone into a 'heat death' where all useable space is taken and large scale turmoils and collapses are absent. This...

People who are happy for themselves or anyone else to play in whichever mode are unaffected by their nature. The griefers/gankers are quite open about doing their grind and engineering in solo and seem proud of themselves. The only ones who've lost out by it are genuine PVP'ers and the open only advocates.

And when you're really ready for a challenge, try using two shift buttons. :) But seriously, use a shift modifier button. I forget which specific button I used, but it made having to use the keyboard obsolete for the most part.

This has been generating a good enough deal of positive feedback over in Discussion land I felt it warranted becoming a full-blown suggestion. So without further adieu, I present the following for serious consideration: It would actually be fairly easy to do and fake the persistence. NPC Crew Rescue Here's how: On Rebuy, trigger a Pop-up mission: "Retrieve Escape Pod", target system: Where you blew up. Time: Whatever is appropriate - but let's say 1 Hour.

I suspect that this never worked correctly - I definitely had situations when I scanned a ship, after killing it I saw a message like "Received 200k bounty for killing criminal" but there was no bounty or much lower bounty in my transactions panel afterwards. Now it seems that what actually happened was that minor faction bounties for different systems got lost and the only part that worked in uninhabited systems were the interstellar bounties (which are going away). It does mean that it won't be possible to get any bounties in uninhabited systems in the future, where you could get some (unreliably) in the past.

Witam. Mam kolejne pytanko. Dorobiłem się Cobry i ja sukcesywnie ulepszam. Za 2 podstawowe cargo racki wrzuciłem 4 x 16 (dwie sztuki). Mam do tego jeden cargo rack 2 x 4. I tu pytanie. Pozdrawiam Piloci.

As far as I know (last time I checked) we here in the US do not have access to ST Discovery yet. I can't even find out "when" we'll get it. Chief

Yes it started for me yesterday. I thought it might have been a driver release but I have clean installed the previous version but the issue persists.

It isn’t really the grind that gets to me, it is the slight craziness of it in an example like this. I guess that folk who are into S&M probably love the idea of pointless tasks to death, but if there is one part of the game that isn’t fun, it is the engineers right now, because it is so outstandingly tedious even when you know exactly what you need to do. As our friend so promptly reminded us, sure, all of this stuff can be dealt with, even if you aren’t Mr. Ultimate Completer Finisher, but IMO the engineering trail is overworked right now and needs a rethink on top of the upcoming fix. Just to add some fun.

No fun please we're British. From the "speculative physics" viewpoint, the way Super Cruise is postulated to work and the way it behaves in-game, slingshot orbits wouldn't work. When travelling in SC you are in a little bubble of your own piece of space-time, aka the Alcubierre drive. You are also usually travelling faster than light. So there isn't going to be any exchange of kinetic energy through gravitational interaction. In fact, in-game SC is inhibited by gravity wells, slowing down as you approach and your space-time bubble collapses when you get too close. So at best trying to fly a sling-shot orbit in SC would slow you down.
