А на зимней рыбалке и до ПВП доходит, когда кто-то бурится на дистанции меньшей, чем размах ледобура :)

You will only be supporting your faction in the war effort by cashing in your combat bonds...cashing in bounties issued by the controlling faction would boost them in both influence and decreasing civil unrest. So no, you aren't helping them, so carry on

I am OK with most of your suggestions....but why Open Only? NPC's are people too, & murder is murder. Said for a while though that Notoriety needs to be (a) Jurisdictional (by Super Power), (b) obtainable for any bounty worhy crime (which would include being caught smuggling), but which would be mostly "ignored" at levels of about 3 or less. No insta-kills for bounties under about 5000 credits, but bounties would rack up much quicker, especially for repeat crimes, under my system. Notoriety below 5 could be worked off by charitable deeds for the Super Power you are Notorious with, 5 or above can only be removed being "bound by law" or by doing dangerous work for ISF. High Notoriety helps with interactions with the criminal element, & with non-lethal piracy (intimidation) but also makes you stand out to local security, & thus more likely you will be scanned. Anyway, just a thought.

Im not so sure. I mean, now, they paid 70 million USD or so to create multiple games with it and was allowed to build their engine of it and call it Lumberyard and no requirement to promote CryEngine in itself.

I still have fond memories of this game and if Elite ever will die (heaven beware!) I certainly know where to go.

It's obvious that many people ITT are challenged in forming a mental model of intellectual property. Just as many programmers are unable to grasp pointers & references properly. ;)

And whether it was poorly implemented seems to be down to personal opinion on some stuff. As to me moving goalposts, are you're having a laugh mate. Don't think I have ever done that, but I know a lot of forumites that do.

Testing with the latest version, still getting the text appearing in the chat logs browser but not appearing in CMDR's Log, strange, it seems to work for other people.

I think it's just an announcement that tonight they will announce when they are going to announce the date for the Exploration Reveal announcement. It will probably be delayed by then anyway!

The gimbal jitter alone is enough for your shots to miss a target at medium ranges. (or against small targets) Friendly targets that hit you will blink on the radar - it's very dim and hard to see though.

As it happens; Amongst those recent announcements, just now, today, at long last we got official confirmation that the touted 200 field of view, of the devices, is a diagonal measurement, which means the actual horizontal one is only around 170 (not to be confused with the new option to reduce the rendered FOV to 170, which would also be on the diagonal.) Whilst that is a bit of a bummer, it should have the two bright sides of resolution being a bit higher, and a little bit less being wasted on that oversampling the periphery. :7

I haven't touched it since ED came out, I liked setting custom jump points that was a really nice touch. You could set them inside the stations and jump directly to the docking point (if your approach was clear). Great games, absolutely amazing for a one man project.

I have never seen CryTek 'sold' copyright of the code. They just gave very lose, very liberal usage license to Amazon. However, this is where it ends. Any original code from CT in LY is still CT copyrighted code.
