    When adding a bookmark, it should have a progression to the description. Currently we have icons for system, planet, starport, surface base, etc. That's great, but then the name that comes up will only be one name. If you add Obsidian Orbital, it only has that in the name. What I'd like is if it added text from system, inwards. So, if you add a system bookmark, it'd only have the system name MAIA. But if you go into the system and add a planet, it'd show MAIA-MAIA A 2 A. If you add Obsidian Orbital, it'd show MAIA-OBISIDIAN ORBITAL. If you add a surface base it'd show MAIA-MAIA A 2 A-DARNIELLE'S PROGRESS. This would automatically sort bookmarks that are in the same system, simply. You'd know from the icon what the bookmark location is, of course.

    If you think you've seen toxicity on this forum, you really don't have any clue what we're talking about. The worst it gets here is differing opinions, while in game chat is next level toxicity in some cases.

    Because for SOME of them (heavy emphasis on SOME) it's not about lore-friendly RP or even PvP for the sake of competition. Some just want to ruin people's day because they think it's funny. The more unfair they can make it, or the less their actions make logical sense, the funnier it is. If they can get video of it and post it on their Youtube and then post a link to it here on the forums it's hilarous. If they can bait people into an argument with words like "carebear" and "snowflake" even better. The fact that it makes no sense to stop the CG progress because we ALL benefit from it succeeding just adds to their enjoyment.

    For me, it's not just the unique build of each of my ships, I also like how the process of unlocking all the engineers touches on pretty much all aspects of gameplay in Elite Dangerous. I'm quite certain that was a deliberate design decision by Frontier to make all players at least have a go, just once, at all the in-game activities. I've also got no problems with the materials-gathering process. I might usually need to speed a night or two finding materials I don't have on hand, but that's it.

    OP is right, sometimes when the sun is directly in front of you the front canopy turns to a checkerboard. Can't tell about 50" monitors because I play in VR but when it appears it's distracting AF. Some sort of bad texture placement, hope it's fixed by tuesday.

    HOW? I have a A rated FSD with 5 pips in extended range mods. Even if I changed everything else to D rated I would not get that range.

    You can't, the 8 was probably a typo. A Cobra Mk3 running below minimum mass would require a 72.4% multiplier roll to reach 800m/s boost.

    I also had the misfortune to have a skimmer trash me. (Refunded) From now on I fly to the center of the base and almost land backwards, I then spin around and land normally. Sometimes you see the skimmers fall. An addendum: All npc accidents are deemed to be the commander's fault. I don't know if this is by design or a bug. (A very old and long running bug)

    yeah, alt account not working now either... perhaps its server capacity??? lastthime this happened it was around the time of thargoid encounters with hoards of people online. Now i assume similar with people getting ranked up for 2.4. can anyone tell me what elite is actually doing when the orange ship is spinning?

    How do you get a Cobra MK3 to 800m/s? Mine's got thrusters with a 35.6% optimal multiplier, and mission-fit it does 589. As I main a Cobra and would like to make it safer (via speed), as even underweighting and underrating everything I can't get much over 600m/s. Do you have a build link please? As for OP, I've done blockade runner in CGs, but haven't come across this type of blockade inside the station. Doesn't sound easy to dock under those circumstances.

    There's a good lore explanation for the sounds in the form of your ship generating them to help with situational awareness. Although I'd definitely like the option to disable them for the sake of atmosphere (or rather lack of).

    This is how Paradox Interactive does it. Look at a game like Europa Universalis IV and I swear it has 30 expansion and dlc "packs". They do a decent job with it.

    Dirty canopy. That's been complained about since Beta, but FD has been militantly apathetic about doing anything about it. Some people like it, some don't. You'd think it wouldn't be that difficult to make a toggle for it, and be done with the complaints.

    I also agree almost 100% with the OP although I would like to see some slight variations/improvements to the system. Two priority items IMHO: First, I think it would be cool if we could see every single blueprint corresponding with the grade we have unlocked via the engineering UI. Come on. This is mostly just text. There is no sensible reason whatsoever that we can only pin a single blueprint. If we click on the engineer then let us see all the blueprints and everything we can modify. Secondly, to lessen the effect of getting double punished by the RNG, i.e. first when trying to find an elusive resource and tracking it down has been taking hours or days and then getting punished a second time when getting bad rolls, I think it would be nice if the range of the roll would be narrowed down maybe like this since we have five grades: Grade 1: You can get the full range of all possible outcomes from worst to best, e.g. if we took a D20 (20-sided die from AD&D RPG system you'd roll from 1 - 20 here)...
