You're correct in your comparison. It's really not that terrible. Definitely not considerate or well socialized, but dude, the reactions we see? They're truly amazing. People crying. People calling the ganker a "stupid n-word" or "I bet you take it up the *** irl you ******". Much more common than you'd think. THIS, sir, is infantile. The disproportionate reactions to our inconsiderate crimes are insane! I blew up your silly spacecraft. Take it on the chin and move on. Dont give your assailant the satisfaction of insulting him. Trust me, he/she doesnt care and wants it in the first place

I recommend a CH Products Pro-Throttle. No flashy lights, switches or metal trim - just hard plastic with enough buttons/hats and solid internals. And a great analogue thumb stick for translational thruster control. And these things last for many years. I've had the same set-up since 2013 and I expect at least another five years of use, probably more.

Nothing to do with it, one account shows one price, the other shows a different price. None sold, so why two prices at exactly the same time?

You are assuming we are nicely asking the process to terminate, you can also decide to just outright kill the process... Also pause the process should also be pretty effective in making the client appear to have crashed. Then we have network level of things to consider, as you could pull the network cable, add a firewall rule to block Elite Process to send/receive data, etc, Which would again make the appearance that your client dropped of the earth. You then have to account for when players internet actually goes down, playing on Mobile networks can be very spotty at times, and I know my ISP atleast once a month thinks is a great idea to do network upgrades that conflicts with my gameplay, so I get 5-60 minutes of sporadic internet. So trying to rely on anything client side is a poor design and mostly useless, as there are so many way to cheat client side stuff Most of your arguments revolves around the mentality that you are guilty until prove innocent. So this would just create more tickets to...

This is just a repeat post from the last time you mentioned this. Believe it or not, this topic is still being ignored as it is illogically conceived. Threatening to harass players in other game modes only proves the point further....

Yeah funny that frontier seem to be doing a great job at burning the goodwill of people who have spent over their significance threshold. The new bobble heads came out and I didn’t even blink. Feel happy about it actually because I consider all play forward using up my credit balance of “support”.. at least until the game matches what I’ve spent on it via time or fantasy quality fixes.

I know that. But there should be something like 3rd millenium google or wiki in game... Codex is just a good start.

Except I'm not conflating anything Darkyfyre. Notice how my post (or if you recall, the ones I was referencing) didn't contain any mention of 5th Columning, or Blockading?

…and therein lies the crux of the matter. I think ED, due to it's heritage and it's fairly unique position of being kickstarter funded is so far ahead of anything else in terms of space simulations that nothing else can ever reach it. The only thing that shows any kind of potential that I've seen is star citizen and that will never come to consoles and maybe not even PC. If ED dies on the Playstation so does my space simulation gaming. This is, of course, purely my own opinion.

Old school mining, also shows up in surface and sub-surface deposits if you've got the new toys but I've not seen it as a core yet. Painite is the least common/most valuable I've seen there so far and praseodymium isn't in that bracket.

It is the most useless item on my X55, that and the throttle wiring which will eventually break, trust me.

Not so far off 4000 hours for me on ED now and although I've recently switched to mostly DS4 I still have more than enough hours in with the HOTAS and no issues at all to justify the purchase.

I think it was a mistake by FDev to not offer a PvE mode from the very start, where players cannot damage each other - and just think of the hilarious and very silly videos that would result. However they haven't so far, and that suggests that they won't, and I think I understand why not. It seems to me that they have a 'vision' and the freedom to be who you want to be within the limitations of the game is at its heart, and I have long suspected that FDev would rather everyone played in 'open'. I still think that they should introduce a PvE mode, but I have long accepted that they won't. Oh well. ...now... where did I put my 'Best of the Eagles' recording...?

I have an SLF hangar waiting to transfer to the next CG location if that's a possibility since I left the bubble with the mining gear. I wonder if I'll have to use a reprint as soon as it arrives...

That or we could get more Elite ranks, and hide the CQC ranking in the deepest darkest corner where it shalt not be found. :D Many people have suggested a Mining rank, however this is a bit too likened to Trade. however, if it was progressed by 'per piece refined' it could be doable. Other ranks could include a Xeno exclusive one, Searching Guardian ruins or killing Thargoids will progress. An Operator Rank, For using the SRV and other future vehicles (such as Aquatic SRV's :O) Just a few to mention anyway, your idea is still awesome too. raking up Elite on top of Elite ;)

Huh. Well, I'll add redoing room placement to the list. I did re-download Elite and knock on space wood, it seems to be working. I'll report back if that solves it. Thanks for chiming in!

Meh, to each their own right? I personally fell out of love with it the moment someone UA bombed us, killed all our cops and tried to put us in lock down from solo. Then after all that we got hit with waves of bots too. It would be really engaging at least to me if we could fight and defend at the same time. But yes, you're right its a spreadsheet game based on your faction you represent. Not for everyone I guess. Thats okay!
