I don't see it happening any time soon. It would require adding DX12 support and reworking much of the engine/game for DXR.

Well, the first problem is that I'm seemingly to most common size, so everything is always sold out. Lol Second problem, is I don't know what the heck "regular" jeans are called now. Straight leg are skinny. Skinny are skin tight Super skinny are, uh, I dunno, I guess you wear them as a child, and grow in to them, never to remove them again... Lol "Spray on" , are just.... Uh.... Childs jeans. Boot leg, designed to go over boots. Do not go over boots. And are skinny.

With Steam, you get automatic updates so the game is ready to play when you get home from work after an update. Not so with the FD launcher. You can use a shortcut to the FD launcher within Steam so if there's a problem with Steam, you can still play ED. I see Steam as a good tool and it doesn't cost anything to use. FD has plenty of money. It's not our responsibility to watch their profits. Do what's best for you.

I mean if you find NPC piracy even mildy interesting or challenging, thats fine. PVP Pirates are superior level skilled players and hold themselves to a higher standard of gameplay. Powerpanic The Voice of Griefing

Well, I bought it from Steam because I still don't want to use credit cards on the internet. It's better for FD if you buy it from their site, as Steam charges for the service (~30% IIRC). Otherwise, there's no difference IMHO. On the sale thing: Steam discounts are mirrored on the FD site as well, at least during the last three years. Recommendation: Buy the game directly from FD if you can. O7,

Yeah, developing a 1:1 scale re-creation of the Milky-Way that allows players to go anywhere and has some interesting game-play is really easy. In addition to the graphics and computations behind those being much more complex, there is the physics which basically did not exist in the first version of Elite (written by 2 persons and taking up less than 50K of memory). The Background Simulation is new and requires processing tens of thousands of player actions or more every day, the mission system, crime & punishment, friendly fire system, etc... yeah, lots more complex actually.

If I upload my data via EDDiscovery or the website itself, the systems and bodies do appear, but I'm not listed as the first recorder on neither, nor am I on the traffic report. For example, uploaded today: Sifou GP-A d0, or two bodies in Sifou AU-R d4-0 - B and B 1 appear there, my username is not mentioned, nor do I appear in the traffic report. It used to work fine some time ago, but I don't know when this started happening. I checked if my API key changed perhaps, and it's fine.

So you think that 100 people which includes artists, coders, QA people, designers, sound team and management - they are working slowly considering they are working on current content / new content (fact that has been raised multiple times by David in interviews) / concept and prototype content (considering how prototype heavy ED design is according to developers)? I would like to hear more about this 'logic' in detail.

Are you sure you haven't replaced your discovery scanner with an air horn? At least EDSM lists a bunch of bodies, so they used to be there. (Not discounting a weird change of the system, those seem to happen.)

Если экзаменатором будет дебил, то да. А если "общение" затрагивает научные, философские темы... проверка на способность сопоставлять, делать выводы, посылки и т.д. Не просто "бла-бла-бла" имелось в виду.

Buy from FD - they will keep 30% which would go otherwise to Steam. And yes, when discount is on Steam for ED, it is also on FD store too.

Again, David interviews mentions this fact multiple times. Seriously, you don't believe me, you don't. I am not here to argue or convince someone.
