    The only thing that's been actually hinted about the next update is that it's scheduled for the third quarter of 2018. Anything else is purely guesswork on the part of us forum members. As for bugs, they're expected. They're already damaging stations. The next logical steps will be to introduce bugs into your ships internal computer system. Won't THAT be fun? :mad:

    Agreed (and kudos to you for admitting your mistake!). Things like this should really be some kind of full screen popup with an avatar shaking it's finger at you while tutting and a 'confirm you want to go to detention' button. But I'm sure some would still click through hoping for candy ;)

    Again, use edshipyard, it will show you how things stack up, including effective HP which I think is the most important thing to look at (while also going for maximum recharge rate, which just means "Use Bi-weaves" since that variable is uniform for all other types of shields). Once you experiment with modding there you'll see why it's been pointed out that you oughtn't worry about resistances past 50%. The thing with balancing resistances is that in terms of effective HP, you give up a tiny portion of thermal EHP for much larger gains in raw HP and kinetic/explosive EHP - if on edshipyard you compare a 'typical' thermal-resistant shield setup to one centered around heavy duty/reinforced, you'll see what I mean. Also, regarding SCBs, don't be misled by making the recharged MJ's more 'valuable' - you restore a fixed amount of MJ regardless of which way you mod your shield + boosters, so it's better to have more effective HP than it is to center your modding around SCB 'value'.     Oh I'm sorry am I a beta tester? A debugger? Am I a paid employee which is supposed to fix this ? Nah dude. I posted a bug report it's their job to fix this mess of dog programming they call a final release. Nobody emailed me, nobody contacted me whatsoever to try and look into the problem, so no. Definitely do not waste your time recording videos and all this when they can't be bothered to look in to game breaking bugs

    Sandro stated that he "doesn't want to waste our time". It turns out that claim is technically correct. He apparently wants to waste our time, effort, enjoyment of the game and immersion. It's not just our time that he's after so I suppose in a sense his claim was sort of correct.

    To me this sounds like a good idea, although it might need some more elaboration since it is a bit vague as it is right now. I do get the general idea and I approve of it. Basically creating more of a living economy (maybe even to the extent as EvE Online?) For traders this certainly would be a good thing. On that note I would like it if security status also influenced the probability of being intercepted by pirates. The reason why I largely stopped trading was that I kept being intercepted by pirates in a high security system on well over 85% of flights.

    Oh dear, sounds like you've had bad luck. Scout Mission NHSS seem to be spawning more regularly - if one doesn't give enough scouts to complete simply wait for another. If you hang around and get no NHSS (and often no other USS) then either drop from SC & re-enter, or relog - I've had to do both occasionally. Sometimes get an empty (probe/sensor on it's own) NHSS - in which case just go back to SC and the next will be scouts. As Mako says, you need to be allied for the good payouts - I've seen 3MM for one mission - normally 1.5 - 3Mil once allied. Plenty of fetch & carry missions on the one I used, or I guess you can fight your way to allied. The missions (to the same system) stack, which is nice, but they don't appear a lot on the boards - I've never managed to get more than 3 by board flipping. Might raise that as a bug, maybe FD lowered the mission rate because they stack, though really they should fix both - shouldn't need to relog to get missions. The NHSS themselves I've seen:

    what's done is done frontier. what we can do moving forward is to make up for it! after watching BIS's video about reviewing that first gameplay video with in-game footage, what bugged me the most was that SLEEPING was actually in game. it was so obvious now that i think about it hahaha. So now, this is what I mean. make up for it and do your best! you mentioned it in one interview that you were surprised and overwhelmed about the JP fanbase, well better get used to it. haha

    The same thing happened to me! I returned to my base which has a interstellar factors and without really paying attention went to pay off my bounty, next thing I'm in a detention center! I realized that instead of opening interstellar factors I'd just gone to the 1st thing that looked like I could pay off the bounty and had tried to pay it off with the faction that had given me the bounty! Now I can understand people saying " pay attention!" but this game hands out fines like sweets and I feel that either it should display the bounty in red or have some kind of warning, maybe admiral Ackbar shouting "it's a trap!"

    If you a repeatable issue, record video, take logs and report as much info as possible. Then they can try to fix it. I've never had that happen.

    Nearly - we were beating them consistently by the end of 3.0, but in 3.1 we've started to lose - either ppl joining the salt-side or the fact the missions were broken. Now that the missions are fixed it will be interesting to see what happens - might lose an Alliance / Empire system this week, which I think will be a first. Anyway, sorry for interrupting the thread with actual gameplay - carry on chaps! o7
