So just got shot up 4 times in Open. And I have to give it to Galactic Farce Expedition, they sure know how to make being shot at boring. All droning up preprogrammed lines which they've been told to drone up. Not a single original thought among them. Beep boop, you're shields are no good ... beep boop ... I am fleetcomm security .... beep. Just slowed down for a more talkative feller so he could catch up and interdict me. I figured being a sport might give me some leeway. Nope. No sense of humour.

This list may be more useful as far it pertains to the OP's topic, altough not conclusive by any means either. https://inara.cz/galaxy-statistics/ Surprisingly, this shows that the ASPX is the most owned ship in the galaxy, followed by the anaconda (holding 9% and 8% respectively) As for specialized tasks i need to agree though, the anaconda is high up in pretty much any list which is to be expected since its a superb allrounder, but it honestly borthers me a bit.

I've been looking for info on how players can get FD to populate a sector of the galaxy and so far, have not found anything of substance. But, what I'm wondering is if there's a mechanism or process to request from FD an area for population and station building (not player construction). For example there is a nebula not far from the bubble that is beautiful and densely packed with star systems. The Running Man Nebula is the one I'm interested in populating. There is one very nice asteroid base there with a shipyard and outfitting; they even sell 8 ships including both Kraits. So unless you are into long range passenger missions or mining or donating, there's not much to do there to make money other than surface prospecting or ring mining. There is one other money making activity there which is exploring. The systems are so tightly packed and numerous you could spend weeks just exploring and mapping planets. I go there about once a month just for the views and picture opportunities. I...

I picked up a Viper last night and started adding a few things to it. Is it me or is Power management a PAIN I was looking at better ships but I rather not spend cash I do not have for buy backs. Im also playing in OPEN now so I must be careful not to go into the red with credits

I totally agree with you, we need breeding in the game, although there are other things needed too

Making exploration more engaging is a tough nut to crack, I'll admit that. Most of it would involve some sort of automation and I understand that that's a big no-no. The LEAST they could do is automatically stop your ship after each jump, that would save one button press. The endurance aspect of exploration comes down to how many jumps you can make before you get bored out of your mind. That's telling as far as the overall design of the game goes in my eyes.

I am all for anything that expands the number of inhabited systems. As I've pointed out numerous times, FD are adding hundreds of new factions per quarter, while the number of new star sytsems colonized can usually be counted on one hand. The net result is overcrowding in the bubble, with newly inserted factions inevitably stepping on somebody's toes. Space is big, but it's not infinite, and the inhabited sphere of the Bubble is even less infinite. I'm not sure Powerplay is the way to implement it, because Powerplay focuses on control of large populations - the exact opposite of expansive colonization, which would create a bunch of new low-population systems the Powers would want nothing to do with. There is already a "shell" of low population star systems about 50 LYs thick, surrounding the Powerplay "bubble", which the Powers can't expand into because they're too sparsely populated. What Powerplay needs is some mechanism whereby a low-population, unprofitable system can have it's population expanded,...

Hmmmmm, I wonder why I haven't seen more of this. This is great though that its confirmed in the game. I'm just going to add another item to my E: D bucket list: observe space lightning. Thanks for the quick replies. If anyone else has any pics, videos, or tips where to find space lightning feel free to share.

Thing is, it's not really about "balance" as much as being about different "occupations" providing their own advantages. Again, it's kind of stating the obvious but when it comes to combat, combat ships always have the advantage... with no associated disadvantages. It's not like you can decide to explore another ship to destruction or mine another ship to destruction. I guess that's the risk you take when you opt to focus on something other than combat but it is a glaring imbalance in the way ED's universe works and it'd be nice if there was some kind of redress. Honestly, PvPers should be grateful that anybody not interested in PvP uses Open mode at all. Non-PvP players have absolutely nothing tangible to gain by flying in Open and way more than a PvPer to lose.

    Учитывая длительность экспедиции, я бы пожертвовал 0,3 ly с прыжка и поставил силовую 3А, вкачав в армор на 5 гаек. Целостность вырастет в 3 раза - 154 vs 48.
