    Meh Seems obvious that FD realized that it was too easy to find higher quality targets with the sounds and decided to nerf it to add "content/better game-play" Can't have anything that works too well Used to be pretty east to skip the "crickets" and head for the "bandsaws" I've gotten pretty good at differentiating, but it's definitely more subtle than it used to be

    It warms the cockles of my gnarly space-dog avatar's imaginary heart .. to see the apology, well done sir. However.. you could have gone into reverse, or turned flight assist off, or disabled the docking computer in the right-hand modules panel. Soo many ways to avoid murdering someone in that situation. Most 'getting jammed in the mailslot' incidents are fixable by going fa-off for a few moments.

    Hi mate, If I had an Expansion go 'planned' 2 days ago (countdown 5 days as I understand it), and a War go pending today (countdown 3 days) - what happens in 3 days? War, Expansion or both? I'm interested if I can block the Expansion (which was by accident though not disastrous) by triggering the war. Thanks in advance. CD

    Eughhh.....It's all getting so messy. EDIT: why you are required to unlock features to play on Nublar is beyond me. It is the antithesis of what a sandbox is supposed to be. Also, this is yet another reason why setting the story missions over 5 islands was a bad idea.

    .. thanks for clearing that up. You are most welcome to hold an opinion. However, the game originally shipped with an electable volume control, that included a toggle to disable the audio cue; solving both the desire to elect a volume (including audible) or not have any ay all. Arguing that it doesn't matter is somewhat irrelevant. If it did not matter, Frontier would not have bothered to record foley, mix and incorporate in the game in the first place. This is like the folks who argued the game remembering if FA was on or off didn't matter because they didn't use that feature; meanwhile the game kept forgetting the state and making the experience very pants for anyone relying on that very feature. Frontier went on to finally fix that. Why? It was broken and needed fixing. The end.

    If there is a cap on the number of carriers available, It is surely better for as many people as possible to have access to them, than for just a privileged few to lock away that content in solo. Conversely this thread should be in focussed feedback, but for the same reasons of balance and fairness of access.

    Lots of people have lots of ideas for things to do with elite feet, but they don't approach it from how things actually currently work in Elite Dangerous. FDev had been very careful and deliberate in not changing how things are done in the game with the expansions and added features, because that would change the game into a different game. Adding Elite Feet as the basis for a new mission type without changing how things are currently done is something that could be easily successful. There will certainly be interest in more cosmetic things like commanders quarters, and the ability to go EVA for screenshots, but if you run ideas for things to do through the filter of not adding time to things that are currently instantaneous, the options for added elite feet mechanics become rather thin because the game had been built from the beginning from the ground up around a pilot flying their ship from A to B.

    It's the map size that's the save file thing. It means that new maps could be larger, but not the existing ones. The dinosaur size thing seems to be more of Universal wanting to adjust the size of things and make the Rex into the Queen predator. The issue with restarting the game on people is that a lot of people have progressed further into the game and there are a lot of unlocks that people worked to get and don't want to deal with again and again such as the missions. I like having things unlocked for the sandbox, I don't want to need to deal with the mess getting them repeatedly. The missions would become a massive slog to get through... As it is, none of the maps are a full island anyway, so larger maps could easily be done as other parts of the island. Something like Sorna having a second map that might have a centerpiece non-useable area with the old worker village, perhaps another that would have the aviary visible in one place and the genetics lab in another. The lagoon area for Nublar...
