Indeed. There have been so many new threads started the last week that already existed. Please just search the forum before posting!
I just use the red coat guards in scenery and post them around the park. They look like security guards too. Frontier did make an official YouTube video of security guards for Planet Coaster on their official YouTube channel.
Its so weird that Everyone refers to that same Video, but they seem to miss the video that answers the question......

You could also just answer the question in short [big grin], so people searching don't get redirected to a thread where people also posted to search for the answer.

I never did understand (not only here but on other forums throughout the years) why people get so whiny when someone asks a question that's been asked before. Does it really pain you to say the security guard was cut before release? It probably took you longer to tell someone to search rather than being a pal and providing the info the person was looking for.
Guess what... a vast majority of it all has been talked about before! Let people talk about whatever they want without that nonsense about forum searching.

this happens on every forum
just like people who complain when people bump a thread, no idea where this is coming from
they get mad people bump a thread but then feel the need to also bump the thread to say he shouldnt bump the thread

I often recommend people to use the search button and I dont see it as whiny. I think the people who are saying "try searching" are just letting the person know that the feature is there because it in fact often saves time. The problem with not searching is that with each new thread it separates the discussion and makes the forum a bit unorganized.

Actually it's a big thing in Netiquette that in forums you must always search before you post, even if it's not implicitly in the forum rules. It's like you should not write a message in caps, as it's understood as shouting, or using 30 different colors for each letter, etc.
That way you save time to yourself, to others, and to keep a forum clean and well organised so who really need info can find it easily. There's nothing worse than a debate about a single subject divided in 50 posts made at the same time where no one can really follow anything.

It's not about being whiny. It's just annoying if you have to explain the same thing multiple times. Afcourse we can give the answer (which in fact I did in at least two other similar threads), but everyone could also just search before posting.
The biggest issue with telling someone it has already been explained is that half of them will say: where did the devs say that? I'm not saying that's the case here, but it happenend to me more than once.
So, in the end, we should all care for each other. People have to use the search button and when they can't find what they are looking for, just say: I have searched for it, couldn't find it, so here's my idea/complain. I'll gladly help them.[yesnod]
Don't get me wrong.. I'm not clamoring to remove the search function or anything. I had just done a simple search myself on the OP and he is new. His second post was his OP in this thread.
I also agree about complaining about a bump.. or even bumping old threads. Bumping new threads to attract attention to an issue/item is valuable, especially if we don't get much interaction/information about said item. Bumping old threads is good considering people asked them to search. But then... they found a thread that answers their question (obviously an old one) and then people go and complain about the person who bumped the thread? Seems counter-intuitive! lol
I'm just saying a lot of what you guys have said and it pays to be nice to people if they need info. Some people are whiny, but some people are genuinely trying to help... like most of you guys.
Instead of telling them to search, point them to a thread that already has the discussion going. That seems like best practice to me (like SilverArrow did). Not begging for a sticky or being crass to the person because they *gasp* don't know as much as the regular forum dwellers.

THAT already happened, it was the FIRST reply to the OP. now this thread has turned into a discussion about forum features which is not on topic of this thread, maybe we could start a new thread in the off topic section for this?
