Just a thought... perhaps the number keys could provide a quick toggle to look at the heatmaps and toggle them on/off when you have a coaster selected or are in the coaster build mode?
1 = Excitement
2 = Fear
3 = Nausea
Also one other suggestion would be an overlay change. Instead of a giant Worm for testing, only the track itself is highlighted so we can see visually the track and heatmaps and work in real time if we want to tweak our coasters.
