I've heard the devs openly say they were going to keep the restrictions since (I believe) it would have a huge part in making coasters for the scenario portion of the game.
Well why not just unlock it then for sandbox only? One of my huge problems is not being able to make fully realistic coasters (as in similar shaping to the manufacturers) because most styles have very limited features in the editor. It would be really cool to go full 360 in any direction for the sandbox mode with the Coaster editor, it would truly allow people to be completely free in creation.
