What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Made a beaver enclosure for the first time.

Today I have been trying to update my African zoo, but I have no idea where to start really. As it is a franchise zoo, I had started off small - flamingos and meerkats and smallish paths. But as it has grown, I have now got over 2300 guests and some areas are absolutely heaving. Here's an overview: (many areas are empty lol, but the southern most paths have people merging with people).

I think I will have to move the staff buildings along the bottom of the pic and expand the paths etc down that way.

Also, if I may ask a couple of questions here...
1) why do 'neutral' animals keep getting stressed? do I need to put 1-way glass for them as well as the shy animals? (sigh)
2) I found three gold animals in the gift section of my animal trading today, no idea how long they'd been there lol. Would they have come from a community challenge? I have no idea how they could have gotten there, I only took part in one challenge I think (the most recent one, which said it was a failure).

Lions - boring.....
Flamingos - YAY

Logic of the guests 🤪

1 - possibly the crowds of guests getting too close to the animals without enough hard plants/shelter to let them calm themselves down
2 - aren't gifted animals only possible through challenges? I'm not too sure since I specialise in sandbox

If you got the money to do so, I would put attention to rework the entrance with more spaced out habitats , and larger guest areas to accommodate the hordes

IMadeADome, IMadeADome, IMadeADome. Finally. Imperfect just like most of my other builds, but it was from scratch. I actually can't believe I made a dome. For my Siamangs.

This is from Genghis Gardens...an anything goes but mostly dryer zoo I've been working on from time to time. Now up to 7 or 8 habitats over the last year. Striped Hyena habitat coming next in the bottom center area

Everything looks quite nice.

Howdy y'all, I'm back. Short week away, I know, but this week gave me the chance to think about myself and to change some aspects of my life that I should've done a long time ago.
So now I'm happier, I'm learning to control my anxiety and depression, because I suffer from that, so yeah😅...

Anyways, all of y'all's zoos give me inspiration, and if/when I play PZ tonight and finish up the last sección of Longview Zoo, I hope that it'll inspire others as well.
I'm truly satisfied with how it's coming out. I'm not rushing it, but I'm taking my time. After I build an enclosure, instead of immediately starting the next one or forcing an idea, I explore my zoo from the perspective of guests to get an idea.
I keep doing that until I either go to bed, change games, or I get a great idea.
The current Longview Zoo is probably the best one I've done, in my opinion, so I can't wait to share

Yes I highly recommend this, one of the best ways to beat the grind of building is to explore your zoo from the explore camera every so often. It can be quite relaxing walking around your virtual zoo
I think that the Explore camera mode is in the top 5 best things ever to come into the game. I started getting into it recently and I regret not using it before. I absolutely love to watch the animals, trying to spot them in their lush habitats

The Striped Hyena habitat for Genghis Gardens is complete, or at least for now. I struggle on filling it with natural items after getting the basics down. The dry wall building pieces were high enough to contain the hyenas, but I wanted to give it a more visually pleasing look, hence the fence. I think next up for this zoo, the Giant Panda and Indian Elephant, since we're at the point for some big ticket animals, having only the Amur Leopard so far for that.

Today i prettied up on half of my aardvark habitat and made some fixes around the zoo.
I think it came out as quite the beautiful little habitat and my gemsbock think so aswell as they frequently jump the fence to visit them

I also thankfully had much less laggs, so i decorated the outback outpost a bit more, its slowly all coming together in there!
Only really needs a roof and some education signs now.

I also got a question for you guys.
For quite some time i got a habitat inhabited by a pair of badgers and one single lynx, but i got multiple issues with the set up, mostly that the lynx would defenetly escape easily.
So i wanted to ask you guys, before i make any signage what animals should move into this wip habitat?
The best options i came up with propaply would be keeping the badgersor put in artic or red foxes or the striped skunks, but what do you guys think?

I would say red foxes, a little too big for skunks personally

Congrats @DarthQuell - great achievement. You've got a while til the weekend though ;)
Ha ha, thanks. And yeah, I've got a couple days. Gives me time to think about what I wanna do in PZ.
And it gives me a chance to finish cleaning up some things around that will take me a little while...

Today I added a few endangered animals to my European rescue zoo, here's the chimps doing battle outside their mini mansion lol.

Man, you should get a referee, then. The guy one the right, Big Bruno, he looks real tough and it seems that Slinky Eddy is regretting getting into this wrestling match
