lolbillions of star systems with 2 biomes to discover on planets (rock and ice)![]()
...with twin sunsets, and triple sunsets, and orbiting moons, and different atmosphere compositions, and near unlimited gravity levels, and many ring formations, and blackholes, and neutron stars, and all classes of star types, and nebulae, and aliens to fight, and massive space storms, and mysterious phenomena, and ancient alien archaeology, and fully-voiced lore-filled megaships, and asteroids that go BOOM, all in glorious VR...
Chris says that's coming soon![]()

FUDster, does ED have pseudo-buildings, rivers that look like misplaced assets rejected from the first Crysis and magic trains that fly diagonally along non-existing rails? How about THAT for biomes?lol

The variety and interest of locations in ED I am afraid is several orders of magnitude larger than in Star Citizen. And that is just a tiny fraction of what you can get in a simulated entire galaxy with billions of star systems. This is hand placed assets working in tandem with procedural generation based on actual astronomic data and astrophysics principles done well. Probably among best in class. How ridiculous can you get @LittleAnt ?
I mean, how desperate your statements about SC must be and how bad you need to misrepresent it is, if you are willing to be this much wrong about the variety of locations in Elite?
Indeed

I remember making jokes about SC being released in 2018 and everyone laughed, 'cos it was so ridiculous it was funny, for both sides.Ah, i always remember around 2016 saying to backers that SQ42/SC wouldn't be released until 2020, getting called a FUDster and a hater, yet it turned out i was being way too optimistic.
Good times.
The codebase is solid, with lots of power and flexibility.
The days of waiting half a year between updates are behind us.
Idk what all the fuss is about. If river tech is a great first step towards working roads, all CI needs to do is develop waterfalls that will then let them fix elevators.
Well even Earth is a "rock planet", as there are basically three (four) types of planets. Gas giants, rock planets, ice planets, (these are all found in our solar system), and hypothetically water worlds, ie. planets covered by global ocean. One cannot land on gas giants, as there is no "surface".And after admiring the stars of the system, you wonder if the first planet you'll land will be rock or ice![]()
The response is none ?FUDster, does ED have pseudo-buildings, rivers that look like misplaced assets rejected from the first Crysis and magic trains that fly diagonally along non-existing rails? How about THAT for biomes?
The response is none ?
Now you got me thinking about an old 80s song.
Something missing from this list, just can't quite put my finger on it...

Note: don't take it too seriously, its also missing the X games as well as some other classics.
It’s a perfectly good list. My ever best gaming experience, Alien Isolation (I played in VR), is in thereSomething missing from this list, just can't quite put my finger on it...
