Information Regarding AX Combat Bond Reward Revisions

Reducing payouts for fighting the enemy during an all-out war doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
The community received new weapons wich render the lower class Interceptors pushovers, thus less dangerous thus worthless. A few adept players with enhanced weaponry smoke a Cyclops before she loses all of her hearts now. You know what 5-6 Guardian plasma chargers can do to them especially now that we can land accurate shots bc we can scan them from afar?

Moreover please remember that the enhanced gimbalelled AX multicannons are effectively hitscans now, you can put more on your bigger ship and scan the Interceptor hearts from 2 km - Commanders already report that full enhanced AX multicannon Kraits OBLITERATE Cyclopses.

Not mentioning the starports, other commanders, and AX fighters - Nobody can believe that we get this OP without adjustment of the payouts. Practically you will get the SAME financial rewards as before bc you are more effective now.

And narratively speaking there is a war going on in which the Bubble gets poorer in every sense and we, and only we the mercenaries get richer- it makes sense to adjust prices bc of the relative loss of threat of the Scouts and lower Interceptors, and bc of the political turmoil in the Bubble.

This is stil the best payout a player can find - they won't go anywhere, and they won't get poorer. The update only incentivises players to join forces -which we can do more effectively since the changes on the galaxy map where we can see the 5 most advanced systems regarding the weekly cycle.

Sally, Xarionn already mentioned it in this thread but it would be very nice to get a timely response since we are in the middle of a time-sensitive war: thargoid control systems have become impossible to make any progress in since the 14.02 patch dropped. Can we PLEASE get a response to this, whether it's a simple acknowledgement that something may be wrong or a rebuttal that things are working as intended due to new gameplay changes?
I'm looking into it as quickly as I can, Ned o7

The money isn't the reason I do this, anyway, I have billions and there's little to nothing to spend it on
Only because of the one thing this game is missing: Taxes.

Anybody parked in Federation, Empire, Alliance, etc. space should have to pay 15% of their income to taxes each month. That would make things not only more realistic, but a great deal more interesting.

I always thought that docking fees at a starport would make sense. You can park twenty ships in their shipyard forever, and never pay a penny for it... 🤷🏼‍♂️

Only 15%? If we're being realistic it needs to be closer to 60%.

Anyway, for all you know the money we make is already after income tax, NI etc.

Here in the United States, billionaires pay around 3%. The upper class pay around 10% tops. The upper middle class to middle class (which is where my wife and I are) pay around 20%. The lower middle class and down from there, which is about 70% of the people in the United States, pay around 15%. That's where I got the figure.

Was going to say - commanders from Sweden will have a very different expectation to those from Saudi Arabia.

Another example of bringing balance to these alterations, is that Massacre Missions now reward more materials than regular missions do, as a way to offset the reduction in rewards, with an additional view to help with the engineering grind a little.
What would really help the engineering grind is if the pool of potential mission rewards included materials that aren't currently available as mission rewards such as core dynamics composites that are needed in great numbers for properly engineering an AX ship, but are currently only available via trading or hunting down HGEs.

I'd be happy with the scenario completing. 3 times last night I joined the fight at Ryan Port in Putas and the progression bar filled up but the scenario didn't end

I think that's because there are Scouts nearby! Scouts appear to be support for the murderflowers - there they are flying around them and your ship, pecking away at you with caustic missiles and pewpew weapons, whilst you're busy ignoring them whilst shooting at Interceptors. Then too late you notice those Scouts have half-melted your ship, softening you up for the flowers.

I think the Scouts are also shooting the De-con limpets.

I've been thinking about this; what's probably needed in a Team, is one team member concentrates only on surrounding Scouts whilst the others are going up against the Interceptors. Right now I've noticed it's a bunch of CMDRs at a planetary base and it's basically a free-for-all concentrating on those Interceptors. Maybe the NPCs are also shooting at the Scouts, but mostly players ignore the Scouts at the time.
My goid slaying kills aren't quite up to scratch yet so I concentrate mainly on scouts and I think I may have been the CMDR you mentioned in a previous post 'who wasn't doing much' I usually just watch to gain tips and observe strategies and clear out any scouts that may interfere.

Same here. I have no idea what I'm doing against Interceptors. I'm yet to kill one. I've tried on several occasions and got flat out owned.

I think the issue really is that guys that have been playing this game for years and fought Thargoids since day one are more than a little bit jaded and completely ignore the fact that newcomers and people that aren't used to it are getting flat out hammered by them.

I'm doing Cyclops kills by myself, it's messy but I can do it but anything harder and I'm done for. I've never been interested in the Thargoid side of the game until the Maelstrom's arrived and it became apparent that you get involved or essentially get nothing new to do.

Well if you saw a CMDR "Gene Hunt, The" , than that was me in my alt account, in the battleconda doing a Brave Sir Robin from the two Hydras which appeared after myself and my team mate completed the initial planet base mission :D

I mean, one of those blighters had already melted Invincible 10... Reminds me I have to rename the new ship the Invincible 11 ;)
