This kind of story seems to be quite common out in the void...Something bad happened here
I'm doing another on-foot CZ, but now that I've been promoted to Warrior I decided to celebrate by stopping to admire the scenery.

It is.It’s always a good thing in this game to stop and admire the scenery… :]
Ha. That was cool! This is quite comfortably my personal best reward for a high on-foot CZ - especially as I so far have no weapons better than G3. Best I'd done before was 5 million odd a couple of times...

Actually, even though I did manage to kill quite a few enemies it probably wouldn't have been anything like as much were it not for an apparent bug that occurred. My team had eliminated all the enemies except one, but he/she couldn't be found anywhere. I looked all over the place with no success and all my NPC colleagues were looking as well, saying things such as "must be here somewhere" etc.
After this had gone on for about 20 minutes, I went into a building so I wouldn't be using up my air supply, went to cook some dinner and just left the game running. About 90 minutes later, the single enemy still hadn't been found by my NPC team, so I exited and reloaded, which put me back in the station in the screenshot, but I'm guessing that as I'd left it running for so long, my team kept on capturing the control points, causing me to gain 3,000 credits each time.![]()
There's a fourth option, I think... An unattainable, undisclosed subterranean facility.Ha. That was cool!
I've had a few can't be found enemies. My teammates have always been incredibly useless when this happens so it's down to me. They are normally at:
A) quite a way from the main complex
B) inside a building
C) nowhere at all
Fun, isn't it?![]()

Some might be tempted to call this "six feet under"...
That would be another option, yes.Are there still mystery NPC's in the settlement drains and/or air-conditioning ducts? ;p

Déjà vu!Yes It's happened to me before as well, but the lone enemy has always turned up somewhere fairly soon. I've also had the situation in which I'm the last surviving member of my team and I'm trying to do a "Custer's Last Stand" type battle against a hundred or so NPC enemies, all looking for me after I'm holed up in a building somewhere, or I've run out a long way away from the complex.
I daresay you've noticed this as well Tyres, but as long as you're close to some NPC teammates, you don't necessarily have to keep shooting at an enemy until you get a kill. As long as you put some bullets into the enemy, or weakened shields by throwing a grenade, one of your team members will often complete the kill but you'll still get the credits reward. Even if you've run off somewhere else and started shooting at another enemy while your teammate is doing that!
Condolences.night working![]()
Hehe... I've just got a new EDSM badge ;- travel 500 Kylie's. Didn't know I was close and certainly wasn't paying attention!
Probably just peanuts to most of you but I thought it was like a long way down the road to the chemists.
By Jimminy. Those stats are eerily close to mine!Huge congrats! ...i'm just over 225KLY now, as a result of this recent trip - so still not quite a quarter million LY in 5 years :]
Had a nice hand in of the last few days scans and samples, along with a significant repair bill ^^ ...had been hopping about 2500+ LY merrily without an AFMU and started to get just a bit nervous about ship integrity, with all my recent scan data on board...

Anyway, for once on a Thursday morning, the weekly FC maintenance bill has already been paid - so i think i'll just put my feet up and finish the crossword with a cup of tea, while enjoying the warmth of the morning sun, before heading out again ;]

I'm back out exploring (and exo-ing) as I'm trying out a new tool - The Explorer Buddy by @CMDR Panostrede So far, it is proving rather handy. One thing to note: it takes it's explo data from EDSM. In this instance, it may report you being the first discoverer while, in fact, in game, it may well be another CMDR. As I understand it, this tool is a work in progress and will have some enhancements coming along at some point. I like it![]()
The talk about statistics made me curious about how far I am behind you all after all I have never been much beyond 5,000Ly from start. I was surprised.
Distance from start 5437.32Ly (further than I thought)
Total distance travelled 405,403.00 Ly (much further than I thought)
Total jumps 16,494
Total distance for FC 8,141.60 Ly (again further than I thought)
Total Jumps FC 32
All in only 8 months 26 days 22 hours 2 minutes
