ups it seems I missed your answers because they were on the next page! LOL Thanks. The newspaper thing is really a little confusing. So the "issues remaining" mean how many of them I will be able to read when they are published - if I understand it right?
Yes. You have subscription for one year at the beginning of the game, of course, you can extend it - seek ads on BBS.
About the map again: there is written in the manual that I can see other ships in the orbital map. I guess this feature is broken the same way as my view of the ship.
Yes, it's broken in FFE. Works just fine in FE2 and it's very useful.
About the missions: if I missed the wiccan race it won't ever be available again right? The same thing with the sohalian plague
Yes. All the 'plot' missions are unique, and if you miss them, you lose the opportunity.
And finally I am begining to think that this game is not for me :-] It is so hard to make some money when you start on Gateway! I meet abut 5 groups of pirates during one try to sell stupid 4 tonnes of animal meat or whatever :-\ Profit-repair cost keep me just above 0$ :-( I tried about 20 systems and there were still those stupid pirates everywhere.
I recommend finding yourself a so-called milkrun route (high profit, no risk), you can stick to when not doing missions. Sol-Barnard's Star is probably the most common one, ferrying Robots from Barnard's to our solar system and Luxuries on your way back built many a spacer fortune.
Smuggling Luxuries into Van Maanen's (a rigid religious dictatorship) is even more profitable, especially given that I have yet to be searched by customs there, but you'll have to make some contacts there and remember them - police often imitates black-market ads. The only drawback is that Van Maanen's doesn't export anything worthwhile, but you can still profit by buying computers there and selling them in some fed civilization centre like Sol.
I think it is qute unrealistic they can intercept me in my 1000km/s
Not really, intercepts are perfectly doable, I've even done some myself. Even if the pirates are slower and start in the same place, they'll catch up with you when you decelerate.
anyway... Then I found somehow peacefull system finally - eta cassiopeia and I transported some goods to the system under it and back, but having any other idea like transporting a parcel elsewhere was a terrible mistake! I think that difficulty is quite unbalanced if I meet 20 much better enemy ships which kill me almost on sight (especially when they are 3 agains me) on my one desperate flight somewhere to make little money :-\
Nah, it's just that in space no one will hear you scream.
As for detours - choices and consequences, if you take parcel to some backwater system, especially one labelled as "Anarchy", where economy relies on "Survival of the best armed", then, you'd better have some aptitude at swatting undesirables and means to do so without getting killed yourself.
Maybe I am just noob, do you have any tips?
Just a noob, I think, which means, you'll probably get better.
Unfortunately, there isn't much advice I can offer you, apart from:
1. Buying a good ship (some larger fighter, like Cobra, Asp or even Viper should suffice, hell, I shot down my first Imperial Explorer with Adder).
2. Buying good equipment.
3. Reading
this tutorial (scroll down).
4. Practising an awful lot.
also it seems I have a problem with targetting tunnels - show targettting tunnels option does not do anything even if I have target selected and I don't know what "allow targetting tunnels for ships" mean - should it show tunnels when I want to intercept a ship?
Yes, it should show targeting tunnels for ships as well.
AFAIK this option doesn't work in D3DFFE yet - it does in both FFE and FE2.
So it seems I have a new hope not being a loser

I made some delivery missions for the military and have now military drive and finally a 1MW beam laser which makes life so much easier. The only problem is the fuel, I am afraid I will have to take a lot of it with me because it is not sold everywhere. That means less space for goods :-\
You should mostly be wary of the systems having military fuel as major import (unfortunately, Eta Casiopea is one of them, forcing you to take spare fuel there). Another problem is that radioactives are illegal in some systems, which forces you to either, risk capture by customs and later by police and try to 'sell' (for doubled negative price) the hot (heh) wares on black market, or dump them into space immediately after entering the systems and hope, that police scanners don't detect this illegal act.
