Head tracking disabled in update 17? Please say it isn't so!

Known issues:
Head tracking for TrackIR and FreeTrack is currently disabled. The team are investigating.


Please tell me it isn't so, please say this isn't a game wide disabling of head tracking?!?!

The worst part of patch notes for sure. How they will fix it ASAP.
 
Are there specific head tracker controls that it uses? I'd always assumed it just fed into the mouselook controls - though I guess Sally would have said if mouselook was going to be b0rked 🤔

For those new to software : 'known issues' are things they found in testing, but didn't have a chance to fix before release - so you can expect them to be fixed in upcoming minor patches. Unless it gets upgraded to 'no plans to fix' like consoles did ...
 
    • In reference to on foot gameplay only. TrackIR and FreeTrack still work as intended whilst in ship.
i only use head and eye tracking in my ship and even dont like it on foot. apparently ships still work.

Well, THAT is good. I mute the TrackIR5 camera when on-foot anyway.
I use the "Skyrim" method of walking/looking around when on-foot.
