I just wish there would have been some form of public statement. Also that it takes a while and "everyone" is affected differently is very worrying.
It could be that. With work starting back I'm usually only on after 6 CST, so there's that. I did open a couple of different zoos this evening and the disconnect issue is back. The trade market is...weird...right now. Some animals it has nothing of, some that have a handful at most, and then dozen upon dozens of Lions. A mix of player and Fontier offering. It just seems like less offerings than prior to the issue, but that could be cause and effect. Not as many people playing Franchise = not as many offerings.Well, although my A and B zoos worked earlier (9:30-10pm UK time ) - my C zoo disconnected very quickly, twice just now ( 3am UK time ). Maybe as the US people are coming online it is affecting the servers more ?
I opened it (C Zoo) up again at 11:30pm and it crashed within moments. And pity about Sloth Bear. This is where the ability to direct trade would be good. And my S zoo just did it .. midnight UK time - was checking my Sloth Bear collection ( just have a pair and a baby ) . I might try sometime during the day when it's work hours UK time and night time for US leaving eastern europe and further east in their afternoon/evening times. See if these ones that disconnect, don't when less people are possibly playing. It could be that. With work starting back I'm usually only on after 6 CST, so there's that. Interesting too...I'm able to place and sell animals but I am not able to adopt any. I was going to get a couple of Sloth Bear for my tropical zoo since I haven't played with them as yet, and 3 came up on the market but when I clicked to adopt, nothing happened once the screen refreshed.
Worrisome for sure. How deeply complex is this issue actually running.
I have encountered yet another problem now (still have the "old" problems, i.e. can't buy animals, constant disconnects etc). I have been able to Sometimes move animals between zoo's but yesterday and today I have the problem that if I put an animals from the tradecentre into a zoo and then change zoo, the animal gets transported back to the tradecentre. Tried to put 80 baby dwarf caimans into my baby zoo, worked fine. Then I loaded up another zoo. The babys where back in the tradecentre. Loaded up the baby zoo again, and their enclosure were empty. Tried again three more times and same result every time. Put them in habitat, loaded another zoo = they were back in the tradecentre... So now I have 80 baby crocs just stuck there in my tradecentre -.-
Frontier support mentioned on the pinned steam discussion thread that they are aware of it and will be priority once they are back, which I assume they are.At least let us know if you are even aware of it!!
I had that problem before the disconnects and coincided with a crash to desktop that coincided with the animals being put into the habitat and the game crashing before I had saved it. Initially they had disappeared, but a resave of the zoo they should have been in told the game they weren't there so because there wasn't a record of them leaving ( I suspect ) it placed them in storage - I guess if storage had been full I would have lost them.I have encountered yet another problem now (still have the "old" problems, i.e. can't buy animals, constant disconnects etc). I had no crashes when it happened to me. But managed to find a solution. After I put them in their habitat, I didn't go to another zoo, I exited the game first and then logged into another zoo, and that worked. But now I haven't been able to get into Franchise at all for like three hours. Not sure if it's connected though, just another wonderful buggy thingI had that problem before the disconnects and coincided with a crash to desktop that coincided with the animals being put into the habitat and the game crashing before I had saved it. Yup, been playing since about 9 CST this morning, no connectivity ssues, trade market looks normal. Got my Sloth bears! Can buy, place and sell animals. Crossing fingers...still not going to get into the gift shops again. At least not yet.Well that's interesting.
I created a new zoo ( need somewhere to put some of these animals I want to keep ) and spent over 30 minutes setting up the entrance area with 15 minutes of those after putting the trade center building in. And not a single disconnect. Granted I didn't try accessing the trade center or buy any animals yet.But this happened between 2:30am and 3:00 am UK time which is when US players are likely to connect ( assuming they didn't give up ).

ETA: 2 hours in, 3 zoos, no disconnects. could just be a good day but so far so good.
I’m sorry you’re having trouble with it. I wonder of there’s more than one server and that could result in different experiencesNo such luck for me .. the zoo I played for 30 minutes plus on yesterday - I added a habitat and 2 animals along with a viewing dome entrance ( no domes yet ) and after the 30 minute mark after then it disconnected. (6pm to 6:30pm UK time ).
More than likely .. with thousands of people playing, they may have different physical servers or instances on a server. It's possible there are different experiences because of that. But, I guess we may never know what causes the problem, just that it's fixed whenever they fix it.I’m sorry you’re having trouble with it. Been playing a bit today myself with no issues. Not gotten the courage to try out one of my bigger zoos just in case there's an issue with the animals but I'm going through some more of my medium size zoos and haven't had any issues with connection or animal placement/purchasing. This is good news.Aha, the servers seem a lot more stable today. Been up and running for over an hour on the zoo I disconnected with yesterday. And it's only 7pm UK time.
Yeah same. Need to clear out my storage anyway, so working on a new zoo for my breeding purposes. So rather than storing them until an unrelated mate is available, I just throw them in the breeding zoo with a new random mate and use their children in later breeding sessions in the original zoo.Been playing a bit today myself with no issues.
