Pay2Win made it to Elite

if those ships that people payed money for are never made then surely that would be criminal? until shown otherwise surely the assumption has to be that all assets sold for cash WILL make it into the game by launch?
There has been something over $600 million pledged to the creation of the game etc. 12 years(?) have passed and it is still alpha early access, with no clear indication of it coming out as a complete game. It wouldn't be much of a surprise, as the revenue stream lessens, if the company folded, taking all of that money with it.

Sure mate, heard that before :ROFLMAO:

I hope FDev do not put the new LSD A SCO drive behind the ARX paywall. That may make alot of people alot more unhappy than they are now.
I wonder if the full line-up are about to drop?
LSD = Ludicrous Speed Drive
I like that 'new' description, it makes me chuckle - "He's gone PLAID!"

I really hope they do drop all the new FSD drives soon. I bet the PMK2 will still be better, as it will not run as hot, or bounce around so much, etc. That may not work the same for any other ship, as only the PMK2 was built with the new drive in mind. So it still leaves a good reason for people to purchase it via ARX. And it would not add any more to the Pay 2 Win discussion, which to me is a great way to proceed.

How do buddy of course I'm going on information from a stream but the new SCO variants will be available to purchase with your in game credits not Arx, so no paywall just yet to hurdle over 😁
do you want to tell me that being able to buy the new, unbalanced, and overpowered stuff for the regular ingame currency, just like everyone else, isnt pay to win?
angery! ><''

I was having a thought, rare as that is, on the pay to win argument and have a question. If the reason it's not pay to win is because there is no final win state, doesn't that mean every multiplayer game that doesn't crown the highest spender then shut down effectively cannot have pay to win by that metric?

What does pay to win actually mean if individual confrontations and indirect competition have no bearing?
