Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

And the opening of Citcon is, perhaps inevitably, delayed as everyone waits :)

CRONCY!

Edit: Off-topic, but seeing Croncy, an Australian, livestreaming in Manchester, via a streamer in Florida, is pretty crazy :)

Mike seems to have spent half of his time sideways in the entry animations...

EDIT: Oh and then he 30ked 😁

The whole 'get spun on entry' / 'sudden obstruction' thing seemed to be pretty regular...

Alongside some arty framerate issues there.

Low standards

Faithful comes out with:

You're pretty new to things, but let's get one thing straight - this is an alpha.

Someone counters:

Let's get one thing straight.
CIG markets the game as playable now.
CIG's official marketing > your semantics.

SC is sold to be played. No one is obligated to test nor can anyone be expected to test.
CIG sells fun. Players buy fun. CIG needs to deliver fun.

If CIG isn't ok with that deal, then CIG can stop selling the game as playable now and revise their marketing to "pay us to work as QA".

And an SC player tries out ED again.

Not taking the other side of the trench from you on this issue, but I'd highlight how excited the Forum here got every time that mocked Cobra Mk III got wheeled out.

Yep truth, but CIG have yet again beat FDev for scale ;)

This is just one in a long line of giant scaled models CIG have used at cons, and now in their own offices too. It's absurd vanity / marketing spend, given the continuing lack of released product etc.
