Sleep is overrated over at FD... wow, just WOW!

I only played for about an hour when 3.9 was released yesterday, but it all felt and looked amazing!
Calling this "POLISHING" the game is what we all know as "british understatement", right? :)

As far as I can see: great work all around! Thank you for all your time, efforts and creativity, and sorry for all the stress you might have gotten thanks to the negative forum vibes lately. I hope this patch and the upcoming gamma will prove all the critics wrong and give them back the faith that the rest of us have (and always had, at least I did) in E: D and -most of all- YOU, the Dev-Team!

Thank you all!

PS: *blows a kiss to the poor guy or girl who originally had to write down all of the changelog* ;)

- Bring back separate Hyperspace/Supercruise keys; the context-sensitive key is still there too
Oh dear. While this was *a* solution to people's complaints, it's an unnecessarily complicated solution (not good for new players). The better solution would be for the context-sensitive key to simply put you into SuperCruise, when a planet got in the way of you Hyperspacing to the next star system.

- Added support for the free-track protocol in addition to TrackIR. This will allow FaceTrackNoIR to work with the game without any additional setup

Nice. I decided to try FTNIR earlier this week, and while it worked, it seemed a bit buggy (either that, or I was doing something wrong). I was finding that I could look around my ship quite nicely, but while the vertical thrusters worked, none of the others did, so I could go up or down, but nowhere else! Could just have been a key configuration issue - I didn't look into it heavily as I didn't have time. But I'll try it out again with the new protocol to see if it makes a difference.

Huge update it seems - lovely ! :)

Won't have chance to try it until Tuesday onwards but it's OK .. more important things first.

Nice going FD ... keep rolling out the polish.

I think this may be a known bug. It can happen after going in to the Galaxy Map and upon exitting the thruster and Hyperdrive buttons don't work. Pressing and releasing "UI Focus" key seems to unblock the buttons and make them work again. Try that.

It may or may not be the same issue.

Well that should mean you'd be in straight for Gamma :)

Asking question again... seems that it was ignored.

Sounds great but please tell me the stuttering is gone

Guys (and I guess anyone similarly minded) - I wouldn't hinge the need to launch the game for yourself on these issues being definitively fixed or not. Only way really is to log in and check it for yourselves and report it as still the case if it is indeed unfixed.
This way it will be clear to the dev team that this is still happening (even if a potential fix had made it in to reduce/eliminate the cause). Seeing as it's potentially going to be user system : game client related it's important it comes from as many people experiencing the issue as possible (regardless of being present in 3.05). The more data they have the better.

OMG this is a huge update, wow. Maybe this will keep the doubters at bay. Great job FD!

SC and Hyperspace need to have the option of binding to the same key/button. Those of us without all the bells and whistles of a HOTAS are fast running out of buttons!

was hoping to see

- Added option to map key to request docking.

Looking forward to testing tonight though and hopfully seeing an improvement in the planet stutter in SC bug.

Do I still need to press "2" when exiting the galaxy map to regain focus on the ship UI or did they squash that annoying little critter?

You can already do it, i have three buttons, one for "both" and two for either SC or hyper.
