So now that we know that we can pay ARX to name stations, did anyone actually try and saw the price? Because I cannot find it, and can't get to the game for a bit.

They said on stream it would be 5,000 ARX. I believe it will be done through the system interface once the station is built.

Finally something I’ll consider spending hard earned (not bought) ARX on.

Calling it macOS should be defence enough ;)

So, what can we name in the end?
Just stations or planets/systems as well?

I kind of have a bit of an idea and ideally I'd like to be able to name the entire system as well as planets within it.
I wonder if, perhaps, FDev might be responsive to a personal request?

Yeah I was trying to figure out if we can do this too. I had a some nice (lore-friendly/ non-lore breaking ideas for my system and station names. Station names apparently is possible, but will cost Arx. Not sure about system names yet.

No word on system names. Not sure it will ever happen, which is a shame.

Given the hours of tedious plotting and flying someone did just to draw a phallus on third party galaxy maps, and the hours someone else put in to try to scratch it out, I can imagine that players naming systems would cause no end of conflict and would badly damage immersion. The antics wouldn't end at Starry McStarface.

Some of the Kickstarter ones were already stupidly named, like Stapled Peacock Flesh, Damnclown's Funland and the worse and most insulting one? THFC 1882 because? ...Really?

But all FD really need to do is have some sort of submittal form. So they can approve lore friendly names only... And not things from other films, or franchises, mammed birds, or football clubs. That? Or get AI to do it.
