Elite Dangerous | System Colonisation Claim Pause

First , in real life , colonization is on a first come , first served. It should be logical to apply it in the game.
You should read up on your history. It's first come first served only until someone else wants the colony and sends more/better military.

anyone here knows of the Gankers , the disruptive behavior , only by the pleasure of twarting someone else , no strategy or reason for it.
Only VERY large and organized groups would be able to colonize systems , solo players ( in solo mode or not ) , would never stand a chance.
Just like in real life? 😛

Edit: Sorry for being snarky. My point was that things should be designed so they make sense to the game. Not to mirror arbitrary ideas about real life.

But I strongly disagree with the proposed "avoidance of colonization" , anyone here knows of the Gankers , the disruptive behavior , only by the pleasure of twarting someone else , no strategy or reason for it.

It's how FDev have chosen for us to interact with the game, even before Fleet Carriers. We can be quintuple Elite and own tens of billions of credits after a few years in space; we should be able to form companies, govern nations or empires and employ thousands of NPCs to help us with our building. Instead, the only resource that matters is our own time...

True, hopefully maybe in the next expansion Elite Dangerous: Capitalism :p

I did understand your point. As I did the op I quoted.
There are several ways to implement features in the game , and no matter what FD does , there will be someone who will love and someone who will hate.
That's life too......;)

(but they should at least try to be higher on love................)

That's is true , but to see all sides , implementing all this would not be like making a new game ( like old Wing Commander : Privateer , or Privateer 2 were to Wing Commander Series? ) ????

I would pay 60$ for that as an expansion with some added new features/QoL improvements. doesn't have to be EVE but 10% of that would be sweet.

Has there been a clue as to when claiming will be reopened?
No.
Probably best to assume that they will reopen it when they have a satisfactory, to them, fix in place rather than after a set period of time.
(Also, new one for me - carrier jump failed, no time slots available)
Pretty common due to so many people trying to jump so many carriers at the same time, things like updates and other stoppages to game play tend to make the problem worse.

Maybe they could ask the exploiter what he/she/they did.

And if a satisfactory response is received, not ban them for life from the game.

If you are not able to schedule a release date be it for a bug fix or new feature you are running a shoddy shop or don't choose to make it be public. you be the judge.

It's actually amazing how fast people found such an exploit.

It's an old one according to reports, just newly applied to colonization. But I'll stop speculating here and wait for the FD report which I estimate will come by next week. Fixing the damage this did will probably take longer.

If there is a believable response to how you can solo build a Coriolis in an hour while others (and their friends) are busting their guts hauling for 2-3 days - I'd love to hear it.
No, I mean they can tell FDev what the cheat/exploit is.
If they refuse to reduce the time needed in investigation, thus, then perma-ban.

Something to do with teleporting cargo instead of delivering it?

this is another reason why they should have had a beta.
in proper betas you welcome and even reward people exploiting so you can close them before release.
yes we are gamers not play testers but plenty will happily test for ship kits, paints , arx or decals
but exploiting In production (multiplayer) games is rubbish and imo FD are too forgiving
