Sometimes im stunned by how many zoos are in some areas of the world I live in the "biggest" city in my country and there are barely 5 zoos close by and besides the alpaca havent seen any new additions since oceania.

I live in England and have quite a few zoos near me, i will say though that the fact that the london zoo roster isn't in the game is CRIMINAL

Tbf im from the "Ruhrgebiet" in germany, aka the worlds densest zoo population and just a densly populated area in general, with all of these markers being zoos or wildparks and not even all being here, as Köln/cologne for example has a wildpark aswell as just one example. And that "Zoopark" in the middle used to be a zoo, but it got bumbed to bits in WW2, but my hometown düsseldorf still got a wildpark and a really great Aquarium, both of them not on this map, so i really cant complain. Another surprising miss on the list is "Zooms Erlebniswelt" also known as the repeat winner of the best german zoos for over 5 years in a row. Zoo nerds might prefer leipzig or berlins zoos, but they still are one of the greats. So yeah, lots of zoos near me, most of them world class with many rare animals and beautiful exhibits, lucky me

Best of all they are all in a roughly 1,5 hour radius with the car from each other, which isnt even needed as atleast the big ones are all very well and directly connected to public transport that conveniently even goes cross citys. Driving from zoo cologne in the south to zoom zoo gelsenkirchen in the north u need an hour without traffic jams and with public transport 2 hours. Its really pretty great

I live less than 10 miles away from London zoo, it taked me over an hour and a half on the quickest route (public transport)
