"Development Level >>"? Figuring out what all these numbers do.

99% of the time I am in my system and there is no stutter or lag.. Sometimes I have to go for some commodities I cannot produce yet, like emergency power cells, CMM and ceramics.
.

That's because no one else is in your system most of the time (regardless of mode). Orgen is packed with FC and ship activity and some of those activities have to be processed by the same backend to keep things consistent.

Yes, I do have ground refineries, and I did play the "lottery" but never got those items.
The 3-commodity apparent limit to surface structures markets is reported as a bug. I hope it will be fixed Soon(TM).

Trailblazer systems are super active. Thats why theyre so laggy.
People trying to flyin their carrier by force probably doesnt help.

I really don´t understand that fixation with Trailblazer-Ships.
Especcially not if Cdrs own a carrier!

Look for a decent refinery-system with Population > 100 Mio and you get 90% of your needs localy and the rest within 1 Jumps (T9/Cutter). Instead of needing to SC some 4000 Ls in the Trailblazer systems (fom/to your FC) in other systems one mostly can park ones FC at the same Planet the main station orbits - quick 10 sec SC....

sorry to ask, but please clarify:
  • was it reported on issue-tracker as a bug, or
  • was the issue-traker report acknowledge by FD as a bug?

I think I saw a "spontaneous" population increase in my system (Scorpii Sector PT-R b4-2) from 23100 to ~24000 after the update. But I'm not certain, it might be just a delayed addition from one of the installations I finished before the update. Inara still shows 23100.
I also got a spontaneous pop increase in the Gal Map after the game update. Each week I have been adding one facility and Gal Map pop seems to visually update on Thursday Tick. I think the game update made the pop update happen earlier. My increase coincides with an installation I made on Friday. This might also account for slight changes in my market quantities before/after the game update.

Interestingly my pop increased, but my system score did not. It must still be waiting for the Thursday Tick.

It is a bit confusing that various things visually and/or actually update:
  • Immediately
  • On a daily tick
  • On Thursday Tick
  • On a game update.

Attempting to understand the colony mechanics by changing only one thing per week isn't working super great. Too many game things changing at various times to know the cause-effect relationship.

well in all my systems (and Galmap) the pop-updates until now happened with the daily tick....

I am 100% certain that my population in Gal Map did not update after adding a research installation. But markets did change. Following the game update my Gal Map pop increased by 1400.

For the last several weeks I have been adding only one facility and comparing results after Thursday Tick because from player POV things update unpredictably inconsistently.

Edit: @Xenia_K has me doubting myself. I completed my installation on Sat, not Friday. While I did update my spreadsheet on Sunday and I did look at the system pop in the Gal Map it is is possible I did not "see" the pop change because the change is a dyslexic style swapping of digits. And then I didn't play ED on Monday.

:) and I am quite sure about the daily-tick - as for the last weeks (if you scroll further back) I placed several installations (at least one daily) in one of my systems and pop-increase showed next day in Galmap (screenshots I published here as well)

I haven’t been able to observe any consistency to my systems gaining population after building new structures. Sometimes it will very quickly after building something new in the middle of an (EU) day, other times it’ll take a few hours to a day (or longer), as was the case with my newest claim.

That doesn’t have to mean it is not tied to the tick, though. Could just be I caught one late with those builds where population quickly changed.

Heads up.

And no screenshot. This is entirely possible because the pop change is a swapping of digits. And then I didn't play ED on Monday.

This might be example of how unreliable witnesses can be in court rooms.

yep, saw that one too - can anyone confirm?
I would offer up to be the guinea pig here but until I can be relatively sure that my Coriolis has had its market reverted properly (providing it hasn't already happened behind the scenes), I'm not going to build another T1 installation and then refinery down on the planet. Currently the station still shows the (mostly) useless triple economy. And outside of making new claims for future development, I don't feel like doing builds again yet (unless to use one of my intermittent claims closer to reliable supply locations as a test ground, but I need a break from hauling right now).
