what means this, played first frontier with amiga 500,in this credit was always 1000 credits now 100
A couple of silly questions. And apologies if they have been asked.... thousands of times!
I'm not sure which option I want to start at... but does it really matter? Will there be another wipe for launch?
And I still haven't got my head around factions... If I start as a 'federal trader' or 'independent trader' does that mean anything? Or is it just a title? IE Can you swap factions?

in the original Elite (circa 1984) you started with a Cobra Mk III, 100 credits, and were docked in the system of Lave.
Personally, I love the 'tribute' to that time.
Ok, had time to play about an hour, was at Bose station with 100Cr (was a bit schocked about that ). No chance to get some missions because faction don't trust me enough.
So I travelled to the next system and did some exploring, brought me over 6000Cr. Got interdicted 2 times, could avoid it one time, the other was a Viper who got my hull down to 23%.
So back to station, sold data, repaired all. Took a "bring me that stuff" mission, did more exploring and now I try to find some tea...then I got kicked out of the server.
Overall gameplay was good, had lags and minor freezes when exiting hyper jump, also took several seconds to get access to exploring data and mission board.
Looking forward to play and test more, hope I can find the damn tea to raise their trust in me

was othrer time when for play was enought a floppy disk and no need have machine so power how now,mine was only a question, play this game from beta 3.0 and always stated with sidewinder and 1000 credits. will be nice have a cobra was only for know if is a bug or changed volontary the credits to the start gameI think that you need to use better scanners in conjunction with the basic scanner. I replaced my basic one in a previous release and couldn't scan anything.

Really do no know where I got spawned...I am sure it was at least near the Pegasus arm, but I could not find Sol or any other known system. And half of the time I get inderdictions, once a Python tried to kill me and strangely I survived, even killed it after the security forces popped up and took down her shield.

Have they added the passenger modules?
And is there is list of what now won't appear on release day. As they said this is it for new features until after release. I'm yet to explore to see what's missing.
So far doesn't really feel like it will be a actual definition of a release after 16th, just another beta that everybody can get into for £35.
I think ED should list everything they are adding and when after the release. With the exception of the modules that were always not part of the original day one release. I care more about this than offline mode. I don't want to be beta tester post release!!
